posted a load on main board this morning so entered them that way, they said they'd send the link to dailies,
thought that's what the end vote was :o
can't see what problems that causes if they put on main board first then send to the relevant reg thread,

not sure which post you mean from dal but if it's this one

    #28

am not sure what dal means :o way i saw it the comps with end date post on main board first then send the link to reg threads,

    unless i'm reading it wrong,

not sure which post by bhg you mean ?

I guess we also need to now what is going to happen to all of the Regular comps with end dates that have already been posted on the Regulars board will they remain or will they be moved or copied to the main board?

or will the changes only apply to Regular comps that have been posted after the poll has taken place?

Well after having looked through the polls/definitions of regular comps and subsequent posts, I am now totally confused :o

I think the easiest way for me to comp will be to continue to do it by end date and then (if I can stay awake ) go over to the regulars and have a look in the dailies/weeklies etc to see if there are others in there that I would normally enter. I really didn't see a problem with how the comps were posted on the boards before all these changes were made, that's just my opinion though.

I would also just like to say that I am very sorry if my previous post in here caused any upset or offence to anybody, it certainly wasn't my intention. I'm extremely grateful to the posters of all comps (past and present), thank you all :A

Happy comping and good luck to you all :)

I took what was voted for to mean that all Regular comps with an end date are posted on the main board only with a link to the relevant stickies

    That's what I thought too.

maybe a BG will hopefully clarify the situation soon! ;)

That would be good, it would put an end to any last bits of infighting so we can start getting back to normal.

My GUESS would be that they will be moved back. But it will take the BGs a while to find which ones to move back and do the moving. If I spot any I'll make a list and add them in one post to this board....that would help people that don't go on the regulars board and may help the BGs move them back too if that's what they decide to do?

the poll's closed now, way i see it now is what lovetolaugh has been doing,
i don't know about the other one's that's already been moved, think that's up to bhg & glad to sort out, if they're moved back think it'll only confuse things more, but that's just my humble opinion :o

i do know one thing though, i certainly don't want to start it all off
again, everyone's got their own opinion which/what works best for them & at the end of the day it should be what works best for everyone on here

I think that it would also be helpful if everyone that post's a Regular comp with an end date on the main board if they tagged there post's accordingly I:E (daily) (weekly) (monthly) after the E: by date

    E: 31/01 (daily)
    E: 31/01 (weekly)
    E: 31/01 (monthly)

this would make it easier for the Regular comps to be found on the main board by searching for "daily" "weekly" "monthly" etc

if you then search by title it should then list the regular comps by date ending in order use "Forum Search" at the very top of the page don't use the "Search This Forum" while there are still end date comps on the Regulars board at a later date when all of the regulars with end dates are on the main board you might be able to just use "Search This Forum"

click on Forum search then Advanced search add the keyword "daily" "weekly" "monthly" then search "Titles Only" then sort threads by "Titles only" ascending or descending (depending on the time of the month) in "search in forums" select "Competitions Time" and make sure that search in child forums is ticked so that the searches bring up post's from the Regulars board as well

    hope this helps!

    Best of Luck :)
