um... my comp email has just spammed, i assume, everyone in my list. It spammed my own email address that how I know, something about mail order brides. Do you think I should get a new comping email? will some of the promoters block my email or will my emails go to their junk folders now 'i' have spammed them?

also will it invalidate any email comps where you can just email once i wonder. grrrrr

Are you also clickin onto the regular competitions section at the top then clicking daily comps and working your way through those?

The way I do it is on the 1st do teh monthlys, on each monday do the weeklies and each day also do the dailies and all comps ending for the next day

For the record, I only use these boards for comping I wouldnt say i have any friends as such on the boards, ive seen a couple of people be rude but I havnt witness 'gangs' or groups at all...

Quickety quick question ! I posted a couple of comps from the Tennents website but there are more ! The end date in T&C says 2010 ( march ) & Im presuming they have made a mistake as I have just entered them no problem . Do I wait & contact them regarding end date before I post them OR post them & update if neccacary ( anyone understand me LOL )
I don't want anyone to miss out if they don't reply but I don't want to waste peeps time if they aren't live comps ?
Gosh, I'm even confusing myself now !!!!!!
Any advice appreciated xx Cheers

personally i would email tennants asking if its a mistake and they are meant to be 2011 end date, post them as normal and point out in my post i have emailed asking for clarification but assume it is a mistake and will update when i get a reply.

Well if you're referring to me, I stopped posting most of the comps that I used to post in October. I just happened to mention the other day that they hadn't been posted but that has nothing to do with this. If people don't want to post it's up to them.

And if you have issues with upsetting people, maybe you should re-read what you wrote as it's not exactly friendly.

no blackmidnight i wasnt referring to you. im sorry you thought that and i would have hoped that everyone had noticed you had slowly been stopping posting them over the past few months.

and just to add i dont have issue with people upsetting people(its impossible to be so perfect that you never ever upset anyone or have something you say taken the wrong way at least some of the time) except when it is vicious and nasty bullying of the sort im sad to say i have seen on here in the past year and elsewhere in the last few days!

thanks and sorry for any misunderstanding, I haven't been paying too much attention to what's going on on here for the last few days so missed the nastyness probably a good thing! Didn't realise you were on about something more specific.

Then perhaps it was aimed at me? Despite the fact that I always tried hard to see both sides of the debate, presented compromises that would suit all as options, (rather than one-sided demands,) which appear to have been well supported if the polls are anything to go by? I always either PMed Gilla as it was then, or posted links to my comps in the regulars sticky so that everyone was catered for. I thought this was a more mature response than "Throwing toys out of the pram."

Like BM, I stopped posting a whole batch of comps way back last year despite quite a few PMs asking me to post them again as folk were missing them. When I tried again, they were all removed again. There were other issues too, but I won't ramble on now... That seems a long time ago now.

Frankly, I recently stopped posting totally due to the nastiness. Your comments like "Not having issues with upsetting people" are, frankly, rather disturbing. Why do you take pride in this? It's rather like your previous comment about "Bullies who take fun in upsetting people not in their gangs."
I simply decided I didn't need the hassle, (or the "Glory!) and this post just confirms why I'm glad to have kept out of it (until now!)

P.S. If your comments weren't aimed at me, then I humbly apologise, as I am always prepared to recognise that I'm not always right in my assumptions .
Generally tho', I tend to miss nastiness as I tend to see the good, so it passes over my head. It's quite a feat to actually offend me :rotfl:! Perhaps in keeping away I have missed the other comments that you ARE referring to?
