I have set up folders in Subscriptions for daily, weekly monthly threads & comps I couldn't do. and no email notification. Its easy then in a morning to go through the daily ones. Also, when you go into User CP, you will see that there is a small arrow next to the name of the last postere - right click on that, and you can open the comp at the last post in either a new tab, or a new window.
Apologies to anyone who already knows this, but it took me ages to find out - a bit slow on the uptake, and too busy comping to work stuff out.
I also use the right mouse click to sit on the MSE new topic page, and open the comps in a new tab. Ones with multiple answer such as full house I use open new window - this way I can have 2 windows open side by side so I can copy the answers quickly from one to the other.
I hope this helps a few people - will you let me know if I am speaking the already converted or not. When I am reading through a lot of the threads I sort of pick up that a lot of people are struggling a bit.

That's a great idea and along with having the user cp as a homepage would hopefully help people that are struggling with doing the regulars at the moment and those that don't want to do something like a spreadsheet to keep track!

Edited to add: I use the Split Browser add on in Firefox (It's called Fox Splitter nowadays as they changed their name) to do the magazine comps so I can just open the thread in that and have both together. Another thing I've found really good of late is by using the Firefox add on Tab Mix Plus, I've got the option to 'Duplicate Tab' on the right click menu, and when doing things like ITV comps where you can enter multiple times, I fill in the details on the first tab then right click and duplicate, and keep duplicating until I've got the right amount, and all the information is filled in on every tab as it duplicates the completed form too! (I've actually found since using this method that I very rarely type the wrong code now too, I'm not sure why that would be, maybe I pay more attention because I know all I have to do is click on the next tab along rather than click the back button all the time so I'm not focusing on having to do that part so concentrate more on what I am doing?!)

I would say so if it's a draw from all people that complete it for the gift card, the OP wants as many responses as possible, so I would say the comp board would be a great place for that too!

I must admit the only rehulars that I do are the ones that are posted on the main board in the first instance. Why can't every comp be on the main board and then linked to the regulars like Toni did with the Advents?

Anyone else on here had their account deactivated on whatsontv site can't enter comps, but I am logged in, and its telling me I have 20 comps to enter today. Can't reactivate it for some reason, I have emailed them, but wondered if its happened to anyone besides me.

enetered them when GB first put them on & was ok for me,

Thanks Korky, so do I - just when I thought I had got them sussed. Used to open up in tabs, like a production line. Annoying thing is, it only happened when I went to one via email they had sent.

aww that wa s avery short trial of a new format for those comsp hjb....i was gonna say thank you as now all i ahve to do is subscribe and either follow the email or nitification in my user cp that there is a new post to enter as they are posted im one who would much prefer it that way as i miss heap s of them since its often this time or later when i start on comps ending the next day and im too tired to enter ones that require more than a click on a roboform button and a click on an enter button.

if its anew post that isnt a new entry iyswim i simply look at it thank it to mark ive read it and move on to the next thread! sometimes its a pita yeah when loads of people are posting to say well done (like in postals when one says they won and 10 reply to say nothing but congrats) but most of the time in other threads its a new comp.

i had a letter about beyblades today, they ahd an issue and prizes will be sent soon. i dont even really remember winning that one lol, but said i had done in november.

Log in go to edit account details scroll down to the bottom think its the last tick box, will say about entering the comps, untick it and it will work again, this happened to me x
