i like that idea the lurkers would then have to log in and thus would be more likely to thank or even join in that way

but given that none of mse is hidden i cant see it ever happening i know when ive posted saying i have a spare code and pm me for it, for every registered member with thanks/posts to their name i get 9 or so pms from newly registered people with 0 posts and 0 thanks, many who merely say give me! without even a please :rotfl:

i pmed an op yesterday, while comp was still on first page, and light was still on green as well as posting to the thread to say i had pmed. the op didnt edit the title, its still wrong now and it was a couple of hours before the green light went to red guess thats another one for glad to edit today when she gets to them.

there is never going to be a way to mean things get done correctly form the start, a gentle pointer and maybe a suggestion to read the comp guide/posts from bgs and mse team threads and 99% of people will be grateful for the help and tips:p the other 1% well quite honestly if they wish to be rude and attack within there post then that is their choice, i ignore them same as i ignore the "comp police", if they are that sensitive then id quite frankly suggest maybe they shouldnt be posting on the internet at all:rotfl: and mse, including discussion time, is tame compared to some places!

PCL ~ at least two boards are hidden that I know. Debate House Prices and the Economy and Discussion Time. I wander from board to board, (I like "observing" a good [STRIKE]b!tchfest[/STRIKE] debate from time to time. Better than the soaps any day. )

I think it is a good idea to make the Comps. Board hidden until you sign up. Still won't solve the problem of date format or self promotion.

i didnt realise they were hidden, shows how long it is since i joined (and i dont do ae's to find out that way) :eek: i do agree observing the train wrecks is great fun, whiles away many hours at times

glad i'm not the only one often get pm's asking for all the mag comp threads/puzzler/tab monthly etc or asking for details for the under 18's comps on them/how to join up on the particular site etc from new peeps with 0 posts, never thanked on the threads,
& hardly ever/never get a please or thank you from them :eek::rotfl:

deff not just you korky, its amazing how many come out of the woodwork..whats even more amazing i how many are prepared to hand their details over to complete strangers to get a biscuit wrapper or such like for free :rotfl: for all they know i could be an axe murderer :eek:

no posts have been moved to game over since the 8th i know its been said a few times that diva does them, but any chance of you moving them please glad when you see this? :A

Just wondered if theres any lovely person out there who would take over posting the real people magazine (issue comes out every thursday) comps for me? For various reasons have decided to stop posting etc on here, will still be lurking every so often
