I've found the Techie Board a lifesaver a couple of times in the past. They all seem so eager to help, there's a couple of posters in particular who really know their stuff and have talked me through problems with PCs that in the past I would have had to pay someone to sort for me.

Hi Guys

As i sit here, hour after hour entering various competitions and giveaways i wonder how many people feel like me and think that they're just not the lucky kind?

i must enter in excess of 75 comps a day postal, text and online. I have been religiously entering EVERY DAY for many weeks and have not won a single thing .

it's a good job the thrill of the chase keeps me going!!!

I completely agree, I enter 100-150 a day and have been for years I have never won anything really big, every prize I am thankful for, but my dream is to win a good amount of cash and a cruise, something I have never won. I feel happy but also slightly resentful that people who just come into comping win the big prizes. I guess you have to keep hoping that your day will come soon!

That big win could be just around the corner! Keep on going, especially if you enjoy it. I've been comping for a number of years now and find it comes in peaks and troughs. Hadn't won much at all for a while then 2 x £1000 came within 3 weeks! I think part of the secret is to actually enjoy comping - there are some great people on here and I feel as if I almost know some of them personally.

I don't think I won much last year apart from a DFDS ferry trip, that I couldn't go on . I donated it on here and I hope they enjoyed it.
This year though I've won a chocolate hamper from Cadbury's worlld - kids loved it but I'm low carbing so I only had a nibble. Then I just got a £10 Sports Direct voucher yesterday.
My 'biggie this year was this weekend that I spent at hotel Du Vin courtesy of Marc Jacobs via Grazia magazine - Lovely hotel, great chauffeur service from the special taxi, lovely bottle of bubbly in our room and I got blottoed after dinner

It does come in fits and starts - when I first started comping 7 years ago I won a huge prize of 10 days in Oz and then a trip to Disneyland Paris, then nothing for about 3 years, then a ski trip and nothing much until this year.

Funny that I enter just about everything but it's always the holidays that I win and I really, really want a new tv - LOL

That's what keeps me comping is the hope. I do enjoy comping, but sometimes I get fed up lol I do think its all down to luck though and I don't have a lot of that

I only enter comps with prizes I actually want..

I haven;'t won much since I started in 2006 or so.. probably entered 1000's of comps and won about 50 or so...
