Starting to monitor how much I can save more closely. It looks like I can save at least £500 most months. I seem to have saved £1,600 over the last two months which is great, but I was at home / with relatives for about two weeks during Christmas which meant pretty much no expenses
Not too bad given my net monthly salary is just over said £1,600 - for London it's a good ratio I think! What do you reckon?Saving £10,000 in 2013: £4491.48/£10,0000 -

just an update since October, my savings are now 17k, just saving wages and trying to save money here there and everywhere!
wow i havnt been on this thread for a year! my savings have actually done down....but i did pay of my 7k loan which had 6 years left paying £120 per month.
Right now, we have £14,000 saved, hubby took a big wage drop half way through the year, but it has increased again for time being so hoping to save between 300 - 500 per month. This is actually for us to be able to move house fingers crossed in around 3-4 years time i am hoping to get to around 30k minimum.0 -
