Hi All
It's payday tomorrow but I got a bit keen and transferred all money saved this month into my ISA today. This means I initially transferred £229 at the beginning of the month when I got paid and was able to add a further £234 from living frugally, ISA interest and my £50 Halifax reward bonus when it finally arrived. Add in the £100 first home saver and I've saved a healthy £563.67 this month! This brings my total to :j£4485.82!!:j
I really hope to push it up to £5000 when I get paid tomorrow and get that money into this years ISA.
I have just opened a new easy acces savings account to replace my old egg account and an ISA to transfer the last 2 years money into. I just need to open an ISA for next year when I have made my last payment into the current one.
Feeling very organised
I expect some of you are currently re-jigging various savings and ISA accounts. What are you all opening?"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

I will be moving £100 to my first home saver and £432 to my ISA taking the total to £5017. I'm really chuffed as it's my first big milestone and I've never had so much money"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Hi All,
Being a single mom to two boys I don't know how I've managed all these years without any savings????? So Last year I finally decided to start saving and all i could afford was £100pcm. I now only have £600 saved. I earn a decent wage but seem to always be broke??? Bad money management, anyway my new years resolution was to manage my money better and increase my savings.
Soo on that note I would like to join in. Im going to increase my savings to £400 pcm and by December I should have £5K saved! WISH ME LUCK!!
Good luck! Remember, everyone starts with nothing at some point...you will get there!0 -
Copied from the deposit thread (as I am feeling lazy)
OK, payday update (it is knackering trying to keep up with multiple accounts!!!):
I managed to save £1,274 in March (inc. £133 interest on one of my ISAs) so my new total is £46,917 woo hoo! :T:T:T:T:T Less eBaying this month, I was just exhausted by it tbh - endless packing/daily trips to the PO weighed down with parcels on top of a FT job were starting to stress me out a bit, plus I don't have a car so I need to be very organised about what I carry on the bike. I have cut back lately and am only listing a few things per week. The money is coming in more slowly but it's much more manageable!:):)
Also, this Tesco DTD thing cost me a few quid at the start but all the vouchers are now making it virtually free shopping! I am stocked up on lots of things so it'll save me £££s all year. And going to Tesco all the time keeps me out of Boots and the Body Shop. :rotfl:
Off to update my sig now.I am £8,083 from my end-of-year target and I reckon I'll exceed it, especially when the rest of my ISA interest starts coming in next month.

Do any of you ever mis-caculate your savings?
Whenever I add to the savings - I write up a new total on my savings file.
All my savings are spread in a few accounts (5-6) so I re-add them up each time.
But sometimes it does not add up and I get so confused haha!0 -

I've had a few very expensive months... lots of surprise expenses! But things are looking up again now, I hope, and I'm also helping myself. I've had a clear out and I'm selling a load of handbags on eBay. Fingers crossed I'll make a little money on them.
Looking forward to the new tax year - will have to go out for New Year's Eve drinks tomorrow.Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012

Have added some money to my ISA just in time to make my £1000 target before the end of the tax year. Haven't managed to save anything else, because I've moved to London & booked two holidays in the intervening period! Hopefully shouldn't have any further big expenses until the end of the year so my savings should improve!Sealed Pot Challenge Number 1225
