Mixed news here. The semi-regular expenses fund is up to £567 (just over now) so it's starting to build up now but my cat is ill and if she responds to the treatment that the vet has started her on, she'll need it on a very regular basis so I'd have to be depleting that and possibly dipping into the ISA too (seeing as most of the SRE fund has really already been earmarked for dental and eye-related costs).ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0

Been a good month so far. I have stayed in budget.
However, next month is going to be a pain! I have Car MOT and Service. Plus I am moving house for summer just whilst I finish my placement. Annoyingly I have to pay up front, so thats £800 gone already in June!
However, it means my July pay packet will have no outgoings for rent or bills....... so I guess I'll have to see what I can save that month.
Also Halifax phoned me to give me a 0% credit card. Woo. I might not take it. They're sending me stuff in the post to sign. I'll wait to see my credit limit first.
Sad news about the cat. My cat at home is going on 15+. Not long left for her
Whenever I go home she always spends the whole time chasing me around and wanting my attention. I would take her to uni if I could!0 -

Aw, sweet! She obviously misses you!
My cat is 17 so it was all to be expected, I guess but it's still a bit of a shock as she's been really healthy up until around 6 weeks ago. The sad thing is that although she's got kidney and thyroid problems, they're not bad enough to explain why she's not eating. When it happens, it's more likely to be the not eating than the actual problems

Sad about the cat - but, ultimately, what's money for if not to help out loved ones?Savings: 9.5%

We lost one of our cats last year, she must have been about 17. Again she seemed perfectly well and suddenly went downhill and was put to sleep within a matter of weeksMiss her loads.

Thanks for the replies about my cat. Just to update, she's not responding to the injection that was supposed to stimulate her appetite so not good news basically.
On the money front, the SRE fund is up to £687 now so I should really get around to booking the eye test now!
Tara - Yay for £36k! I can't imagine being able to save £1,600 in a month. I think the most I've ever saved is £1000 and that was a big one off!ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0
