How do you know what you'ved on not buying toiletries? What you looked at in Boots but walked away from? I was bad today, I wanted some toiletries... er, needed. I'm bored of my conditioner and I fancied a fruity smelling one... that's "need", right?
Since June 2009 I've overspent by £907... I've got until 31st May to save £2500 to hit my target for the year! Eek! Maybe I shouldn't have bought the conditioner... (and the moisturiser, shampoo, and 125g bag of Doritos (ate all in one sitting) that I'm not telling you all about, lest you judge me).

Oh and I just bought some purdy nail polishes from Littlewoods... they're cheaper elsewhere but I had a negative balance on my account from a voucher I applied when I bought some shoes - I returned the shoes which they refunded in full! So, the nail varnishes were in effect free... so it doesn't count... right?Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012

I put money in my online toiletry savings pot every time I use something up (to the value of that product) or every time I SERIOUSLY resist something (like the Body Shop blueberry butters today, 5 for £10!!!!). Actually, must put that £10 in...Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

WHAT?!?! Oh no, please let my internet connection die before I get to the website!!!
I won't go there. I am doing well, despite today's weakness. Last month I spent £192 on toiletries or cosmetics... this month just £41... so I'm doing good.Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012

You're doing great on both fronts!I like your idea of saving money for the toiletries challenge. I'm on that thread too but so far I'm just using things up and not doing the savings pot. Think I might add a bit to my virtual savings 'pot' though as I really like the idea!
Not added much to my savings this month - only £18 so far but this month looks better than it has been on the earnings front so will hopefully be adding more in March! I'm working on building up my emergency fund at the moment but going nowhere fast which is frustrating.ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -
