That first direct current account sounds good but i dont want to have to close my a and l account. Would i be able to just transfer £1500 each month then transfer some of it out again back to the a and l and still qualify for the £100? Also does anyone know how long it takes to transfer isa funds out of a first direct isa to a and l?

You gotta feel sorry for her... she got quite a mauling from the bank accounts forum for posting a thread about her fraud... that's really not an option for her anymore.

Lots of people think its a hoax. To be honest I'm not too bothered as long as this thread stays on topic ;)

Today i received a cheque for £475 as i had opened two Scottish friendly bonds and i had to close one down. Its great when money comes to you when you least expect it. This is going straight into the wedding fund isa and am going to round it up to £500 so im now up to £2750 - halfway there. The OH has to close his down too so hopefully we will get a cheque soon.

If it was a hoax id still have my money.

I won't event bank numbers again online, i learnt my lesson.

I was savings to move out, i must agree with a few comments i read, people saying why did she not move with with the savings she had.

I am gona make sure this time even if my parents trying to tell me what i can and cant do, it wont get in my way this time, thats why i signed up to the gambling sign cos i was down.

My dad said so i can save faster just let my parents buy the food, so i only need to worry about petrol etc.

Well i am £100 overdrawn and payday is next friday.

I don't know how i managed it last it works out i started saving last June, so that would mean only 8 months ? I am doing so much overtime, i mean i would like to save the £10,000 by september/october but it doesn't seem likely :(

i get £800 a month, sundays we get time and a half so do overtime then, and doing some during the week to give me that boost start like last time:) I really want to move out this year considering i'll be 22 in april :(

I'll let you know next friday how well my pay is and what i'll put aside, and i'll be using LucyTheDwarf's tips and how to get abit extra :D

What none of the people who were trying to advise you understood, was why you didn't answer any of the questions they asked, or provide any of the information that might have enabled people to give you more constructive advice. If you want people to help, you have a responsibility to share in the process, by being truthful and providing the information that people need to fully understand your situation. You did neither of those things, so if many people came to the conclusion that your post was just a windup - that's hardly surprising.

I think manycontributors here will remain sceptical of your future postings.
  • Ah! Haha, wheres all the savers gone? 5 days since the last post! .. even if I don't post here myself everyday, I check the thread everyday as I love reading about people increasing their savings!

Anyway, Current Savings Update: £20,200.00 :D EXACT :P None of that penny lark for me haha.

    Well I'll update then.

I got through inheritance money of £5,000. This has gone into car savings. My mum keeps pressuring me to buy a newer car.

Also filled up rest of this years ISA.

And today I found out I am getting my job extension that I wanted. So now I will stay employed until Aug 5th (instead of June 11th). Means I won't waste my summer before going back to uni.

And it was a lovely day today, so I'm happy happy.
