I am ment to be getting a phone call for a "phone interview", within the next "48hours" 24hours have passed, yet i have stayed in. Its only open till 8, then tomorrow i'll be at work.
Do you think if it would cheeky even when i wrote to the cheif execitive about how am stressed getting overdrawn letters when i reported fraud, and got a letter yesterday saying they have made sure charges are deleted ?
fingers cross when i get the phone call thats it sorted
I would ask to be compensated, just to be cheeky. Obviously, the main concern is to get your money back, but if they'll pay out anything on top it's a bonus. But try it, you have genuinely spent a lot of time / been very stressed / been without money; I think you should at least get £150 for all the hassle! I don't know whether they'll pay you anything, but it's always worth asking.Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012

im so stressed about the call on thursday, what are they gona say for 45mins ? it seems so long, and time consuming, for someone who took my money.
Have they said why they want to do a phone interview? Do you know what sort of things they will be asking you? If I were you I'd say I wasn't comfortable having a phone interview, and ask if you could go into the bank - take your parents, you'll feel better with a backup panel, and will be less likely to flap and say the wrong thing.
If you do have to do a phone interview, try to keep calm - phone nerves will either really kick in after 45 minutes, or it'll cure you. If it seems to be rushing, insist on writing everything down, that will give you time to think. I don't understand why they need to do this, but I guess it's important you give the right answers.Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012

Well just keep busy, even if its getting really glued into your soaps or whatever, dont be caught doing nothing as you will have more time to think and therfore worry about it.
Nope not yet, i dont have a clue what to get for her. Obviously roses, choccies(ones i like too though) and a card, maybe a little teddy...dont really know what else. Its 2 years since we started going out on the 16th aswel. So i do something really nice for her...dont know what though! lol

tempting, especially its past the month !
got another overdrawn letter today for £52 so thats over £110 overdrawn charges, but i wrote a letter and they said they will make sure no charges come out, the 1st lot of charges were due on the 1st and just checked my statement its hard to believe the only transaction is my phone line and phoneband £32.50, and before that was the 1st of january for my broadband and phone line £32.50
god i need to be normal again and spend
oh but i need to think of the good thing, hopefully it will be sorted out, and think how much money i have saved not spending lol0 -

They said its part of the investigation n they have to do it, i said to them am going to go speak to the bank manager as its 5 weeks now, the woman said no we are dealing with it.
I am kind of worried the thought 45mins ?
I mean i can't think of what sort of things to ask in that time except like, when did you discover the money missing, how do you think they got you bank details, which the site store your details, oh and why did i add my savings after money went, well i didn't want to be overdrawn with charges.0 -
I havent posted on here lately as we have being over paying on both mortgages and the MFW thread is where ive been spending my time!
Anyway......my regular saver will mature at the end of march, 2 more payments and Im saving up an extra £1000 as I owe the bank of mum & dad some money, I also want to pay £500 of each mortgage we have, but the £2000 left is getting put into an A&L account.
Its being 6 months since I closed my 8% A&L account so Im planning to open another one up, top it up to £2500 and transfer in and out £500 each month to cover the t&c's of the account. I will also continue with a new HSBC regular saver continuing to save £250 per month.
Its all going towards the deposit for the new house and paying the mortgage off!
I used the savings interest calculator on the Halifax website (quite handy) and worked out;
Regular saver 4% will earn £55.62 gross
A&L 6% will earn £154.53 gross, these are approx.
this works out at roughly £17 a month interest, finally getting some have decent interest earned. I know there is an A&L regular saver earning 2% more than the hsbc but by the time ive transferred money across and sorted stuff i might aswell just put the extra £30 in a savings account.
Its good that i should start earning a bit more interest. I often think back to the times when i had a high interest bond with £10000 in it and had a rate of 7.5-8% which was a nice £800 a year, I obv wasnt a tax payer at the time but its good to be finally earning some again!!!!!Millionaire in Training

I can't help but be sceptical about it all... I mean, surely you've told them everything they could ask already? Sorry, don't mean to worry you when I know you're already stressed about this - but write everything that happened down before Thursday. List in date order everything that happened, and when, so you're clear and don't miss anything out due to stress. Include when you called them, and when you heard from them, etc. They probably will ask why you transferred all your savings to your current account; but your fear of being overdrawn and having charges is a reasonable excuse for doing this - everyone acts irrationally under pressure.Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012

Hm, it's 6% now. I thought they'd got rid of this. I think I'm interested... it's just where to find the money from to put 2.5K in... I don't want to waste that rate by applying too soon and not having as much as I possibly can have in there. I'll get 3K in May from my Barclays Monthly Saver... And I've 2K in AA now... do A&L send faster payments anyone? This beats an ISA hands down, which is what the Barclays and AA funds are waiting for at the moment...
