the bank never even phoned within the 48hours, as i was told to phone, then they said someone will phone in the next 48hours to phone interview, heard nothing
I'd call the bank again and tell them you were told to expect the call. Sounds like they might be fobbing you off a little. You could always send a letter to the top and tell them you don't feel like you're getting anyway.
i got ripped off with my car too...I hate car salesmen and my dad also told me I'd got a good deal.0 -

thing is i am fine talking to people i know on the phone, but people i don't know i not that confidentits awfull, i actually feel like am shaking when am on the phone, and come out with silly things.
Thats what i am worried about they said they were calling for a phone interview, honestly the word interview scares me lol, i say silly things and get all nervous. I mean interview for my own money ?
I actually did send a letter to the top again, just saying I called and was told it someone would call in the next 48 hours, stayed in the rest of the afternoon, and all day today (as in yesterday). Tomorrow (as in today) i will be working till 3 so therefore it will be past the 48 hours.
I would now like compensation for the stress, and loss of time over the past month, since i was told it could take up to a month and its now past.
stress and loss of time, i copied those words from LucyTheDwarf
really, was it arnold clark by any chance ? I hate how they say we will do this deal for today only ! I would like another car someday but puts you of all the cowboy garages.
Might just email again saying i am not getting anywhere, not just that the amount of times i have phoned, and the calls cost.
I keep hoping any day soon i'll have a siggie like other people with amounts they have saved, fingers cross :beer:0 -

Practice makes perfect, I think everyone has been like that. I used to be nervous on the phone but now it comes very easy to me. Just stick to the point and try to relax. write down everything you want to say before you call in bullet points so you don't forget anything. They can't see you so don't panic.
It was Polar Ford... it's put me off cars for life. I wish i'd kept the one I traded in lol. Then i'd have some more savings..
Good luck.. i'm sure you'll get the money back. Have you contacted the company that took the money? or even trading standards/ police?0 -

the car i picked was £8995, but then arnold clark told me the sold it to someone else, and to make up for it they would do the blue mini for the same price then add in 3 extras, like warranty etc, i really have no clue waht i paid, it was my dad that was like take it, its a good offer, i guess you don't realsie you got conned, and i bet its happened to loads of people and they will never know ! i only knew as i paid my car of early, and had to sit and work out the costs, why the loan company wanted more.
then i went back to arnold clark ,they claimed they never offered that, and had to cancel within 6weeks, so yea landed myself a different colour car, and an extra £800 on my loan
For 2 years yeh? Thats actually really good. Did you not get fed up paying it when you were at the end of 2 years and had tax etc to get aswel?Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

yea i contacted the companys, they said go to the police, but the new thing i thing it started 2004, its between the bank and the company to sort it, even the first bank guys i spoke to said that, and dont worry you'll get the money, over a month later still waiting:( i might phone later ask again, they better not tell me to wait another 48hours.
Part of me thinks they are dragging on cos am a girl, and young. Alot of people say that people will take advantage of you. I remember around this time last year but i noticed it before the transactions came through, the woman wasn't interested just take out a overdraft, then my dad went on and demanded a manager they said theres nothing they can do till the transactions are through. I went on my online account later and the money was there, plus an extra £20.
type tsb in google news, look a tsb manager got away with stealing 1 million, you would think they could afford to refund me lol
i know how it feels being conned, i guess you'll want your old car, as the car you have is memories of getting conned:( its like when i pass a black mini, it depresses me0 -

No that was my plan to pay it of early, so i done overtime put the money aside untill i had enough to pay it of.
you get your car, then 6 weeks later your payments start so would have been around June 2008, so my car payments aren't ment to stop untill June this year, i paid it of Febuary 20090 -
From Arnold Clark? How did you get so much on finance with such a low wage? No offence meant but thats 11 months wages is it not? Without overtime i mean. Im looking at 5-6k car over 2 years. Hopefully my dad will put his name down as i wont be able to.Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.
