Sorry, don't mean to worry you when I know you're already stressed about this - but write everything that happened down before Thursday. List in date order everything that happened, and when, so you're clear and don't miss anything out due to stress. Include when you called them, and when you heard from them, etc. They probably will ask why you transferred all your savings to your current account; but your fear of being overdrawn and having charges is a reasonable excuse for doing this - everyone acts irrationally under pressure.
At least someone understands me
if they do come out with loads of questions, i'll make sure i bring up the fact when i was in LA 2 years ago, my card kept getting declined, yet i phoned 5 times to get it unblocked, everytime the person said its fine now. It was so much hassle as i got the iphone and you know how you have to pay with card, so my auntie ended up paying and i gave her cash, then i spent the rest of the week trying to proove i have money in my account my keep phoning up, it was the night before i was flying home they unblocked it, so i managed to get to some shops get things i wanted, like ghd's etc.
on the letter i got the other day they say they let unplanned overdrafts to save embarassment, but heck that was embarassing all the shops i got refused in LA, at least a hollywood star wasn't behind me in the queue :rotfl:
My auntie still goes on about her phone bill as couldn't get my phone to work, i'd hate to think the costs abroad lol, i wrote to my bank after i got back asking for a refund of the costs of the calls as it took 5 tmes, they never replied lol
what bank are you with i guess its not tsb ?0 -
I'm with lots of banks nowadays. For one thing I don't trust all my cash in one bank, just in case.
I use HSBC as my main current account. No interest, rubbish customer service, but I like their internet banking. I empty my current account as soon as I'm paid, only putting money in to cover standing orders and direct debits. I also have current accounts with Barclays (as there is a Barclays next to my office, so it's convenient for paying in cheques), Natwest (as I needed one to open a savings account a couple of years ago), Halifax (for the £5 a month payment if you pay in £1000), and now Alliance & Leicester (just applied, for the 6% interest).
I also have savings accounts with HSBC, Natwest, Halifax, Barclays, ING, AA and Kent Reliance. Credit cards with Bank of Scotland, Halifax, Debenhams (GE Money), Barclaycard, and shortly Santander (hopefully).
I'm not one for loyalty :P
Lloyds is one of the main banks I'm not with, actually...Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012
Progress May-08 19.0%; May-09 40.0%; May-10 63.0%; May-11 58.4%; Jun-11 58.5%; Jul-11 58.9%; Aug-11 58.7%; Sep-11 59.0%

thats the thing when you want the money its all all different banks, i mean are they near you ?
where i live tsb is about 15mins walk from my house, and nationwide is across the road from it, i have nationwide isa, with like £70 in it lol. well i took most out to pay of my car.
i guess the next nearest banks are in town theres loads, abbey, yorkshire bank, nationwide, tsb, american express, bank of scotland, everything really.

The only bank I ever go in is Barlays, and that's only because my employers insist on paying expenses by cheque. All the rest I manage almost entirely online. I've never set foot inside Natwest or Halifax for my own affairs, and ING and AA are internet only anyway.
I opened all of them but the HSBC account online. HSBC I opened when I was 16, before I had the internet at home.
All my transactions go through my HSBC current account - I just move money there when I need it.Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012

Yes you can transfer savings online from one bank to another - if they have the faster payments service it will show up within 24h, otherwise it takes a couple of days.
I got my Quidco payment today so have added another £40 to savings today.......0 -
