    :)

I deposited all my xmas and work money today, just got to wait until the cheques clear and I'll be loaded woo.

Think I'll be saving more over the next few months than expected but also my gf wants to go away in the summer which as of yet, I hadn't planned on lol, so my budget is going to be a bit odd in some points! Nevermind.

Checked my current account bank balance today expecting a low sum just after christmas and there was about £1k more than I expected so I am putting it straight in the savings account :)
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
  • Thanks Briona, I'm trying to write an essay but keep nipping onto the forum for ideas!!
I like the OCD idea (or CDO to put it in the correct alphabetical order as I like everything to be!!) but I have exactly enough money for my management fee to come out until I get paid on Wed so after that I'll have some more!! I don't have even an extra 24p to put in my savings account!!
Money pig coming out in a minute though.

Yeh a lot of people like the £2 coins one. I always just save anything below 50p and to be honest, I hardly ever spend cash nowadays, always card. And have my budget, which I have royally screwed over as I am £100 out somewhere but not sure where..... Hm! Nevermind, will sort it out soon.

Need to travel a lot next month, have to drive down to Soton to search for houses/flat to rent for the next year eek. Its just me though and 1 bedroom flats etc. cost quite a lot as they don't do "student" ones!

Should be able to put more into my ISA thanks to the extra xmas money! :)
  • Paid my piggy in today, £140!! I worked out that this is like 1.6% ish of my total!!!

I'm a 20p collector , save £20.00 then take them to the bank in their nice little bags. Always ask for 20p when getting change , handy for parking meters is the excuse I use.
Can never resist the coin change at stations either, put a pound in and get four 20p and two 10p, it soon mounts up.

Hi everyone, I've been meaning to join a thread like this for ages.

I need to save for a few things, but my aim for 2009 is to save:

    1. £3800 for the final payment off my car in Jan 2010
    2. £1000 so I can go skiing on Jan 2010 :j

I have already got £500 saved which is a good start, but I need to try and save £358 per month to nearly reach my target.

I don't know if this is possible yet, but saving £300 per month is possible, so this is my initial aim - I will have to make the rest up by ebaying and savvy voucher use to get expenditure down etc.

    So here goes!!!!!!
Everything will be ok in the end, if everything's not ok then it's not the end :)

:j Got paid today, hopefully will save another £700 but have to get car serviced so just paid in £500. Might even be able to save another £1000 by stoozing. I really would like to redu ce my mortgage payment to below £1000 a month but that's a whole new thread.

    Happy new year!!
