Hope everything turns out OK for you McSaver, looks like it should

I'm a bit miffed about Kaupthing, but am definitely glad that my savings are safe! Think I shall sit tight and see what happens...“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -

Hi,
I have savings with various people including KE. But my cc 0% ends december and I'm wondering whether i should just pay it off now. Cos getting bit concerned with lots of banks being a bit wobbly.
I know I would get savings back but not sure if I would in time to pay the cc?? Am I overreacting?? Am happy to keep savings in KE long term but as I need them fairly soon - little nervous
These cc are about £15,000. [0 -
I spent most of yesterday in tears. I've got savings with Icesave and have an ISA in transit from Lloyds to them, which hasn't turned up and is "floating around". I spoke to both Lloyds and Icesave but there's nothing they can do until it's all settled. I've adjusted my savings total to reflect this "lost" money and will re-add it when it turns up (fingers crossed).
It is a worrying time for everyone.Mortgage: Was: £154,495 Oct 2039 Now: £81,279.78 May 2037Swagbucks ~ £205 (2024 ~ £395)Surveys ~ £204.44 (2024 ~ £280.14)Make £2025 in 2025 #5 ~ £1,406.55 ~ (2024 ~ £2,561.04)0 -
Hi,
I'm sorry to hear about the mess with the banks. :grouphug:
They will sort it I'm sure-just hope it doesn't take too long.

Hi Wanno
May I join in please? This month I have 5,600 in savings and I intend to go on and on and on and on saving... My point for saving is possibly to get back on the housing ladder and buy a property of my own, to go an exotic holiday (say, to India), to afford a few nice presents for my close friends and to save the rest as a nest egg for I when I feel it warrants using it.
Well done on your saving so far - I think you said your goal was 16,000 pounds. Mine was originally 100,000 pounds but I think that it is way too high now :rotfl: (saying to myself right now, 'get a grip girl', lol). However, if I retrain to be a solicitor having done a 'taster' one-year law course already, that may be a possibility
- may take a long time though. Perhaps I should aim for about 20,000 pounds for now and see where that leads me...
Best regards
Money Angel
