Hey all
Glad to see everyone's doing so well!
I've only been feeding my regular savers for the past few months, which means £1300/month. So that means I'll save £15000 this year, but hopefully I'll be able to put a bit more away, plus I'll be receiving a bit of interest on my ISAs etc. I want to finish the year on at least £90k (have £70k at the moment).
My sig got phucked up by the mods and I haven't got around to sorting it out again yet, so I'm not sure what percentage I achieved last year!

Today I've filled up this year's ISA to £3,000 :j This is over two months ahead of schedule and it feels great. My total savings are now up to around £4,100.
My next mini-target is to save at least £600 by the end of March into a high interest savings account, ready to go straight into a new ISA on the 6th April. I'll then be aiming to at least fill up next year's allowance of £3,600 as the year goes on.
PS well done to everyone else!Never mind the house prices, I'm saving a deposit.
[STRIKE]£20,000[/STRIKE] £15,100.82 still needed - 24.50% saved so far!
Buying and moving costs: £3-5k - will save this after the £20k
Aiming to buy my own place by the end of 20110 -
Thanks! I've sorted out my sig now (I think). The forum managers have now decided we can only have five lines in our sigs  so I thought I'd better get in there quick!
Looks like I did 85% last year, which I'm pleased with.
Are we doing the Olympic challenge again this year? I would like to - esp since the real Olympics are taking place in 2008! I also have a slightly higher income this year as I moved up a level in November, which raises my disposable income a bit. I'm really hoping I can get to £90k by the end of the year as that will make my move a bit smoother!

Forgive my ignorance Suzey as I haven't looked back through the thread over the year but how did you manage to save that amount?
That is an amazing amount saved there. :beer:Gordon Brown ate my hamster0 -
Yes Suzey that's an amazing amount of saving, how did you manage it???
P.S. If you don't mind me asking, what is your career? I think I remember you saying you were a civil servant but wondered what your job actually was.0 -
I've lost track recently of how much i'm saving! I've got my standing order going out for next tax years isa and for the other bits and bobs that all come up at the same time of year....
Apare from that all the rest of my money is currently going into savings for my spending money on my holiday in may it means that my proper savings arent going up much but at least I get a nice holiday!0
