    P.S. I'm just curious, why is your target £3000.08 and not simply £3000?? Lol just wondering what the extra 8p is for!

    To be honest, I cant remember! I worked it out last year for a target, and can't remember why the 8p is there. lol :D

    Thanks for the info re Student loans and car insurance. Just received my statement from the Student loan company for the last tax year! Looks as if loan was fully repaid in September so hoping no more deductions from April and that SLC will eventually repay me - in Jan 09?!?!!!

    Target for this year is to save £5000, so around £400 a month to save, well, for Jan it looks like a figure of around £350 will be acheiveable. Which ain't bad as it seems like an e-on since I was last paid. Payday is this Friday... thank goodness!

    I managed £500 saved for January in the end. However, next month I have some costs, so I cannot imagine doing more than £300, but lets see how it goes.

    * Savings Update - January 2008 *

    This month I have managed to save £600. After paying off the credit card off from a bit of spending last month... :mad: :mad: But for the first month of the year it is not a bad start. My Percentage has been updated.

  • Never quite managed the £500 mark like the rest of you guys. My savings for this month have been great. With a staggering £463, so very happy with that outcome. I would usually save around the 250 mark, but with some back dated pay from xmas has certainly helped. Lets hope next month will be just as good and maybe i could be in the £500 money club! I have updated my signature for this month. Good luck for next month savers.

    I had to take about £400 out of my savings to cover Christmas last month, but luckily managed to put it back plus a wee bit extra this month. Total saved this month £757.44.

    Going to be a bit tighter over the next couple of months though I think. And March is like Christmas all over again for me with so many birthdays!
  • Woo. Managed to save £712 this month. My house is a tiny bit closer.
    How long til pay day? :eek:
