Back from holiday
Had a great time
9 weeks and 6 days till next trip. Which is 69 days, so already ticking down as started with a 7 when I got back
Need to sort out money with friend I went with, need to check all receipts to make sure I've not missed anything. Will be nice boost to bank account
Until ccard bill comes in
Em, speaking of which........ took DD shopping yesterday for her birthday. Bought some stuff for myself........ trousers from M&S, sandals from Jones the Bootmaker, top from House of Fraserand ....... em ......... 3 pairs of socks, 4 tops and 6 dresses from Hobbs. In my defence...... I'm worth it
. I promised myself a splurge when I got to target weight, they are all wrap dresses which I really suit and they will (have to) last me years.
Been doing sums today. I currently need to pay 24.7k off BTL and then 60k to Mr GG. It's actually feasible that I can pay that off by the time I'm 55, and if we don't make any more large, accidental, purchases, we may just be able to clear all mortgages, or at least be close enough for me seriously consider finishing work & naffing off to Spain :j. However, we really need new sofas, am off to look at some in M&S next weekend. Have ordered paint pod free of charge with paint from Wilkinsons (exciting magnolia) and will get new curtains. Current sofas are 11 years old and showing it, these will last me till I go to Spain
. Still like lights & pictures so will get colours which match them. EDIT: I DO like them but the main reason I am not changing them is that I am not profligate. That is my new favourite word
Hope all well. Was planning on staying up to cheer young Rory home in USPGA but can't keep eyes open so will wish him luck and hit the sack.

Glad you had a good hols!
The jacking in work and heading to the sunshine sounds like a fab plan!!
Plus....you put in pink not invisible writing for the clothes purchases :rotfl: but I think they were welljustified! Am promising myself the same when get back down to my "normal" weight but without the shopping spree as I have lots of lovely clothes in exactly that size already ! maybe Ill accessorize tho!
Good luck with making it to your 55 goal without any more accidental house purchases etc- sure you can do it!0 -

I think you fully deserve the outfits, they will be a good incentive to keep at goal weight. So money well spent!
Could you please explain...what on earth does 'profligate' mean?

Well, some exciting news from Gally Heights. We have some pets. Not sure how many. They are THESE which are cute little powder-post beetles, currently living in the mask I brought back from Gambia earlier this year. At least, I hope they're all living in there. I hope none have found alternative living arrangements.:eek::eek: EEK :eek::eek:

That is horrible at least you spotted it. Watching the Sarah Beeny programme gives me the creeps. Well done on the new clothes hopefully it will keep you on track. I have cut down on alcohol and been working out 4 or 5 times a week but no change in weight as of yet. Just trying to say keep on track that's easier than having to loose it again.

Sprayed the bag with the mask copiously with fly killer before I tied it up last night. 2 dead pets in it this morning .
Thanks for encouragement TG, up till now I have been focused but it is slipping a bit and I don't want to undo all my hard work. I'm also aware I need to exercise (I did the BUPA health age thing & it was amazing what a difference exercise made, like I've never heard that before). A combination of extreme lazyness coupled with genuine problems with my knees and neck/back means I can find excuses for everything, however I've booked in a deep water exercise class for tomorrow night so I'll see how I get on with that for starters.
NSD yesterday and hopefully today
ETA - juet went back on BUPA site & redid it with last year's weigh, diet, drinking etc . EEK, 16 years older than actual age, now 1 below it.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
