No update for almost a week!! Whats going on?? Have you been buying another house?? :p

    Froggy :D

:rotfl:With the state of our finances Froggy we'd struggle to buy a Monopoly house just now :rotfl:

Round there now having a clean-up, just popped back for an early lunch. Kitchen nearly done and looks fab :D. Decided to get a new boiler, we needed to spend around £600 on new tank, pump and timer, plus the boiler is old so seemed better to spend £1850 on new boiler. Just as well tax rebate in :o. I'm not happy with Mr GG's brother's idea of quality , however I'm refusing to dwell on it as no-one else seems to care :). The house is a good buy and if I have to pay someone to come in at some stage to do work then so be it :p. I've someone coming in next week to do some bits and pieces as I think they need doing, bruv hasn't noticed them  and I'm not prepared to do them ;).

    Hope all well with everyone.

    gg x

    :wave:Evening all

Back from weekend with DD, good time had by all, expensive time had by me :rotfl:, went to seaside but too windy/cold for beach but got some sun while doing her garden today. 2 trips to tip with lots of insects coming along for the ride, they kindly popped in to say hello while I was driving home  .

DD doing really well with money, she has a M-F lodger and doing mystery shopping to pay back her dad who paid off her graduate loan, then planning to start paying me back the 4k she owes me next Jan, to be paid off by Aug, over £600 a month :D:eek:. Chip off the old block, am, v proud of her :D. She has a food budget of only £70 a month and cooks all from scratch (but managed to force down a big pizza that I bought ;)). 4 different piggy banks to save coins in (including her profit from the 2p's we played with at the amusement arcade :D).

A few little payments made to btl, which I need to pay off before attacking debt from new house :o. 24.7k on btl, just under 60k for new house, once I've paid that then we will just owe around 80k or so, all is well :rotfl:.

Have finished all work I am doing at new house, electrics done, kitchen done (:kisses3:to Neil Kitchens) and new boiler next week. Mr GG's friend fixing fence so all coming together. I have my life back :).
I think that's all for now. Oh yes, 3 sleeps till holiday smiley-excited001.gif. Checked in, car hire & car park all booked in _party_ . We'll be there for the Moors & Christians Festival which I've been looking forward to, but as that means leaving the terrace and actually doing something I'm not so sure we'll make it :rotfl:. Life is hard ;).

Have a good week everyone, toodlepip

Daughter sounds a proper chip off the block. Good for her.

We were having a chat with our two today about Mummy and Daddy not having a lot of pennies as Mummy doesn't work, but we have some pennies. If we use them only sometimes, we get to have treats. And DS1 astutely said, does it cost money to go to the park we walk to? We should go there a lot more often .

And all because i told them while we were eating our roast dinner that yorkshire puddings were sometimes eaten with jam when people were too poor to be able to have a pudding after dinner.

    Kids can be hilarious.:rotfl:

Hi GG your daughter sounds very familiar, you must be proud of her. Have a lovely break in Spain, there is something good about going somewhere familiar, it is so restful. Sounds like all your plans are coming together particularly brilliantly.
  • Good on DD - you have obviously had a good influence :)
Sounds like the house/BTL/rennovations are all coming together well!
Enjoy your holidays - off to count the number of sleeps till mine! ....

Thanks Radish, but as I've already said, Monopoly houses would stretch us at the mo :rotfl:

Was a bit confused last night, it should have been 4 more sleeps - but then I hardly slept a wink so 3 was more accurate :o. Put in shopping order, 3 days from now, sitting on terrace, watching the sky darken and listening to the frogs in the lake, oh yes with a little drinkie poos 10.gif, cheers everyone :). Been to SW tonight and put a few pounds on, still in target range (just :o), have bought the new SW book, nom, nom, nom, so will take it with me and attempt to be healthy :A.

Aren't fast payments wonderful? Logged onto Smile & NW. Transferred £200 from Smile, F5 and there it was in NW :T. Now I can eat & drink & buy a new house number on holiday (our complex has been adopted by the Town Hall so we now have street numbers instead of the old builders numbers. Bit of a bummer as I had a nice routine going for lots of different passwords based on old one :rotfl:)

Spent £40 today on a pre-paid sevice card which gets me: MOT, service (pay parts only), air con re-gas, wheel alignment & balancing, summer check, winter check plus other car type stuff. Well known local garage so pleased with that, MOT alone would cost that :)

Off to sort out hol clothes :T

In anticipation of tomorrow - HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE :D
