I worn out just reading all that!
TPAxMFW - We've only gone and blooming done it!May 2013:j0 -
Time to look at 1st Jan post now I'm 6 months in:
Best I could come up with for a title. For those who haven't come across me before, HERE is my old diary. Hopefully I will keep this one to 2016 when I will be totally mortgage free
2011 challenges.
Mortgage #1
£19,546.15 Currently
0 Target
Mortgages 2 & 3
£101,668.64 Currently
£94,803.11 Projected end of 2011
£90,000 Target (mortgages - savings)
These 2 are way too confusing to work out due to Accidental House. But on basis I'm aiming for 90k in total & I'm projected to be at 129.4k it looks like Accidental House has well & truly scuppered things
BTL Mortgage on Late Mum's House
£27,056 Currently
£25,489.36 Projected end of 2011
£23,000 Target Currently projected to be 23.5, but should meet easily as will be paying up to 1k off per month soon(ish)
In addition to that I have set myself some other goals. Some easy to measure, others a bit more subjective:
1 June I will decorate the living room and buy new sofas A bit behind, but started & will be done & sofas in by end of July :T
2 August I will reach my target weight (the 'real' one, not the official one. I will get below 11 stone) and stay there Hmmm, I think below 11 will be too low for me but aiming for 11&1/2, am on my way (ish) :T
3 August I will have no mortgage on my house See above, oops
4 August I will be fabulous at 50!!!!! Yup, I will be
5 October I will have a front garden I am proud of Yup
6 December I will read 12 books off the BBC list Emmmm, best get a wriggle on
7 Ongoing I will continue sell all possible things on ebay Yup, more written up & waiting for free listings
8 Ongoing I will start entering competitions again (& flog everything I win) Oops
9 Ongoing I will exercise for 30 mins at least once a week Yup (well, 2 weeks in a row counts doesn't it, as long as I keep it up )
10 Ongoing I will meet up with friends at least once a month Yup (but cheating as with friends at work, but am still doing it)
11 Ongoing I will continue loving life & thanking the Universe for all its' gifts Yup. Need to get in the habit of saying it every day again, but my outlook is v positive & I am opening myself up to opportunities & doing what I want to do (hence Rock Choir & osprey cruise). Thank you Universe. :T
Here goes folks!

Not bad for 6 months, shame about the Accidental House :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Naughty GG, I must stop going missing in action
.
- 14 items listed on ebay yesterday, 1 has a bid & few have watchers. Mostly clothes, but also 2 electric kids brushes that Tesco paid me to buy when they did DTD a few months back
- Well, hopefully a fun day ahead. Off to Hatfield House to see Elton John & others. Forecast was appalling but now better - 'only' a shower at 1pm, then cloud - it was thunder & heavy rain . Won't be an MSE day as you are not allowed to take your own food & drink - what's that all about . Will be bulking up before I go :rotfl:
- Was supposed to be getting ceiling plastered Fri but guy let me down as has hurt back so has been signed off for a few weeks. Can't be helped, have got someone else ringing to discuss doing it for me.
- So, that means walls not painted either, may need to reschedule sofas
- Laura Ashley curtains bought for living room 1/2 price in sale, same ones as in dining room so I know they'll look nice up.
- Seen 2 bits of furniture - a TV unit & nest of tables. Depending on which unit it will be a total of £250 or £325. Am not going to buy until sofas arrive though as want to see how dark room looks, as the furniture is dark wood & so are sofas. Am hoping v light walls & curtains will offset so ok. Sick of looking at jumble of wires behind glass TV unit & we only have one small table at the mo.
- Mr GG & I looking at draft wills last night - v, v complicated! We know how to party on a Saturday night :rotfl:
- Em, current account looking a bit :eek::eek::eek:.
- So is credit card. Not helped by spending £139 on 2 pairs of prescription sunglasses
. I lost my old ones, well I left them & know where (25 miles away), but decided to get new ones as they had a very old prescription & were falling apart. Boots were doing a BOGOF, prices started at £79 but I worked my way up to £139 before I found 2 I really liked. 1 pair by GUESS and 1 by LULU GUINNESS (seeing as I can't afford one of her handbags :rotfl:). I've never actually lost a pair of glasses before so these should last years.
- £600 from apartment booking paid into offset so it's nearly up to 4 figures again
- Despite having paid out £750 in various bills for BTL's and here
- Need to take one of the dresses I bought from Hobbs back as doesn't sit right at the neck. Shame, as I really like it
- 5 weeks 6 days from now till sitting on plane

GG you put me to shame, I really MUST get back to ebaying.
Remember the time you did a mystery shop and bought a car:rotfl:It sort of pales into insignificance (sp?) after the accidental house purchase!

The way I remember it I used the mystery shops as an opportunity to assess what levels of discount were available
To be fair I did get 30% off the list priceA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Funnily enough after I did one I discovered that a friend of the family was looking at buying one of a lower spec than the ms one and was a terrible negotiator as the MS spec I'd got to less, so I went back with him while he bought it - I'm sure he's not bought me enough wine to cover the difference yet. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Well done scuba!!!!
Well, of 14 items listed on ebay, 2 have bids totalling a grand £4.49 :rotfl:. 1 is make-up from a Rimmel comp, the other a cover mount lipgloss so can't complain really
Bad gg. Put on 1.5lbs so back on SW with a vengence (if I put on any more I'll have to pay again so that's a good incentive :rotfl:). I've been a bit bored with what I've been eating, so decided to come home & pick a SW recipe book at random and start at the front. Courgette & watercress soup anyone , then for dinner griddled aubergine rolls stuffed with quark :eek:

Years ago I watched a programme and a set of doctors tried different diets or miracle treatments to see if they worked. Most of them did not work, but a male doctor in his 50s said his did and he would continue to do it. His diet was cold soup.
Cold soup is not something I would particularly want to live off but it might be good to add to your diet and have on a warm sunny day.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

I only have cold soup when it's 35 degrees
The soup was gorgeous, I nearly bought enough to make 2 pots & I wish I had as I've eaten 1/2 already :rotfl:. The aubergine roll thingys can wait for another day as I forgot I had some cottage pie in the fridge.
 Welcome Peonie, just popped over to your diary - a new house, how exciting!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
