Am I too late to offer help
I bet it looks fab and you have the knowhow that you did it all yourself (thats what I tell myself anyway when I do everything myself but it doesnt work lol)
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Will bear the offer in mind when I do the back garden :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I need to get my own back garden done first. I cant see it so not in my thoughts :rotfl:MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987
EMFD was Feb 32  NOW Dec 2013 its Dec 2016
MF new target Dec 16 REACHED!! :j0 -
Up early to catch up on paperwork etc., as usual spent too much time on here :rotfl:.
£6.62 from paypal OP'd to BTL mortgage. Only need another £12 to knock a month off. Hopefully my £50 yougov cheque will come soon - then I'll actually need to step inside a bank :eek::eek: to pay it in. Last time I was in a bank was in Spain (no security screens, staff casually dressed, can go in the back to use toilets etc :T). Alternatively I could pay into Smile account at PO, wait till clears then transfer over to house account to make OP.
Banking still a bit .
1/2 lb ON at SW last night . My own stupid fault . I think I was seeing how much junk/alcohol I could eat/drink and not put on weight. Answer - not as much as I DID eat/drink. Healthy choices and eating out of fridge/freezer for a while methinks.
Book sale at local charity shop, 25 paperbacks for £5, ready to go to Spain :T.
Located some more [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] treasures to sell on ebay.
Forgot to say, car had service so is all happy. But needs new brake shoes/discs & 2 tyres so I'm NOT happy
.
Staying at friends Thurs night & her lovely neighbour does dressmaking so have a few things for her to alter & material for cushions
Plans for rest of week / weekend:- Price up brakes & tyres & book in
- Write up & list on ebay. Cut losses on some stuff & bung up for 99p, plus a couple of BIN's (actually, just decided to list those 2 now)
- PAPERWORk - the paperwork monkeys have been at it again
- Have another go at getting someone to artex ceiling
- Don't spend any more than necessary
- Don't eat/drink more than necessary
- Don't buy any more Hobbs clothes off ebay, even if they are bargainous :rotfl:

- Write up & list on ebay. Cut losses on some stuff & bung up for 99p, plus a couple of BIN's (actually, just decided to list those 2 now) Decided to wait till come back from hols - but 2 BIN's sold to same person :j, £12 on its' way so that will be a month off own BTL
- PAPERWORk - the paperwork monkeys have been at it again
Made a (v small) start, including sorting out work expenses, £35 to help out bank account
)
- Have another go at getting someone to artex ceiling Have lost will to live in this respect
- Don't spend any more than necessary
Doing ok (but see below
)
- Don't eat/drink more than necessary
Doing okish.......
- Don't buy any more Hobbs clothes off ebay, even if they are bargainous :rotfl: Done. And no LK Bennett etc either
Spent £250 yesterday on nest of tables & TV unit. Have been humming & haing for ages, but hated the mess of wires etc behind the glass TV stand and also only had 1 v small table & wanted another. Went to place I'd seem them, got last 1 of each . If they had been sold out after me faffing about for months I'd have been so hacked off.Nice man knocked £20 off as I went to other branch 10 miles away to collect TV unit. They are in place & v nice. Happy with the way living looks, except ceiling. So not looking at ceiling
. Which means no lying on sofa .
Finished glossing woodwork in living room today also :T. Amazing what you can do when you don't lie on sofa :rotfl:
Need to decide between:
- gardening
- cutting grass
- sorting out paperwork
Think it will be gardening. Grass later. Some paperwork tonight. Also want to start sorting out stuff for Spain. I am taking a case (well, big zipped bag which will fit in hand luggage on way back) over, so there are some random things going, including:- 4 ice bags - they look like gift bags for wine but are actually wine coolers. For friends, not for me.
- 6 gas canisters for hair tongs (replaced ones here & they have different canisters so taking all I had to Spain where they will fit my one there)
- slow cooker (going in hand luggage)
- new Sky remote
- couple of adaptor plugs
- jar of coffee
- loads of books
- new dressing gown for Mr GG if I can find one
- probably a couple of cookery books
- etc etc :rotfl:
Sold a book on Amazon, old textbook, around £13 coming my way, so another little BTL OP coming :T
Mr GG has got me a new camera for my birthday, comes tomorrow & has some fun features so will have a play with that

I just managed to get my yougov to the magic number too so am hopeful that my cheque will be sent out in the same batch as yours! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Don't hold your breathe - I'm still waiting .
And STILL waiting
No more sleeps :j. Literally - needed to get up at 2.30, which is always a cue for my body to decide it won't sleep at all. Am away for 2 weeks (last 6 days on my own :T) and was trying to work out when I last had 2 weeks off work. Em....... so long ago I can't remember. At least 17 years . And I would only have been working part time then. The last time I had 2 weeks off when I was working full time is 27 years ago :eek::eek:. Neither wonder I'm so tired :rotfl:.
Away at month end which is always frustrating. When I get back I need to:
- phone West Brom BS as managed to lock myself out of account
- transfer over money I took out of mysave account with Nationwide - closed it in a hissy fit as you needed to log in separately to their main site, I couldn't add it to my list of accounts to transfer money over & Nationwide responded to my queries with answers so cut'n'pasted you could practically smell the glue
- transfer 1k into Halifax
- transfer 1k out of Halifax the next day
- transfer out the monthly £5 from Halifax
- pay Halifax ccard. Am using it on holiday to withdraw cash :eek::eek: as it's the cheapest way I have - no fees and interest rate only 12.7% so will be less than 1% for the period I'm borrowing. Will put most spends on there and draw minimal cash but I do need to pay out around €300 while I'm there
- transfer all rental income out of NW
- make OP on own BTL - not the 1k I was hoping for as one of our tenants is at the top of council waiting list so am expecting a void, and some spends to decorate it
. Still, we've had the same tenants for around 7 or 8 years, and I'll get the chance to use my magic paint thingy :T
- send FB my MFiT2 update. Which will be a bit
- c/f to the weekend a to do list including pricing up new tyres & brakes. So, nothing important then
- meal plan & shop
- open any more birthday cards which arrive while I'm away
. I hit the big 50 on Monday. Please, all of you, take the day off to celebrate
- start planning next year's holidays. I currently have NONE booked _pale_
- put a lot of time & effort into post holiday sulk

Wow you have a lot to do. I'm shocked, you've not had 2 weeks off in how long? Take 3 weeks off instead, just tell work I said so and all will be fine.

Am back, with another fab holiday under my belt
. Place looked a bit grubby and a few things the worse for wear so decided I'm not letting it out any more. Not making enought for the hassle really. So, had a lovely time 'reclaiming' my place for me. Threw out all stuff I'd kept in case someone would use it, bought a few bits & pieces and have arranged for it to be painted. V, v happy with the decision
