  • Hope your yougov cheque has arrived gallygirl, mine was sat patiently on the door mat when I got home from my holiday this weekend - btw are you sure you're not my mum too? She decided not to rent her holiday place out anymore too and weirdly has arranged for it to be redecorated.....that said she did spend nearly £2k replacing all the appliances while they were there!

Yes it has arrived thanks :), safely in bank yesterday. Also sold a DVD on Amazon, only a few £ coming my way but better in my pocket :).

I don't think I mothered any other kids, am sure I would have noticed ;). I 'only' spent a few hundred euros on bathroom cabinets and extra shelves for kitchen, so feel positively frugal in comparison :rotfl:.

TPA - honestly, I turn my back for 2 weeks and you're off spending, what are you like :D

Saw bessie mate last night, up on a flying visit. She has a job interview Thurs which would be a massive payrise & take her back to the type of position she had before. I cannot remember when she last had an interview & didn't get the job, and she thinks there are only 2 of them being interviewed, but I feel quite nervous for her. It would [STRIKE]let her kick out the d*ckhead she's living with[/STRIKE] enable her to make lifestyle choices so fingers & all other bits crossed on Thurs am please ;)

Fingers will be firmly crossed for her Gally sounds like it's something she needs and deserves.

My cheque was deposited today. Sounds like its just been a month for people to update things in holiday homes then!

Nothing else to report, except I was in Liverpool today & saw the Queen Mary 2 - - that's a BIG ship . Something else I would never have seen if not for work, so I've been v lucky really to have seen & experienced some great things :T
