Busy day KC. Hope that you enjoyed it and took your time over things instead of going at them hammer and nail (or whatever that saying is.

Hi all - yes, I did take my time - also on the list was ironing the 2nd curtain to go on there, and getting it up, which would've entailed hunting out the hooks ... I just stopped tho. In fact, I've been watching tv all evening - and I mean, *all* evening - I haven't done that for about two years
and I don't particularly like it either, got very restless, but I'm still tired. Just time to pop on here before I go to bed.
I'm having trouble with my accountant tho - I've overpaid £2k, she tells me, and she was asking me lots about what I'd paid in French tax, like she'd never heard of it before, whereas this was the 3rd lot I'd paid. And now I think she's not realised I earned another £2k or so that was paid directly into my bank account .... I'm not sure, I'll have to add it all up again. I could do without that, but I won't rest till I know the answer. I think this is why I watched tv tonight!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi Karma,
glad you're feeling more energetic & that's a lot to accomplish :A
I have one of those bendy ladders but am terrified of using it on the stairs ... hence the dowdy shabby look. Need to get over the fear or pay someone else to do the painting .
Glad you enjoyed the sunshine today & boo to nasty tax matters0 -
Hi Lula! Those bendy ladders are great, as long as every single thing is locked in place, and its resting against the vertical bit of a stair, I don't mind doing it. It is a little bit hairy when you have to extend it fully, but its still okay.
The tax, I've just checked it, and its boo indeed. I think she's trying to flannel me about the overpayment and the French tax, and now I've found out that there's even more money she hasn't counted in my income, which is indeed income for me.... very bad news. I might not get that tax rebate, and I might owe thousands more. Sort of beyond bad news, that bit.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Oh no,
hugs; & fingers crossed for you ...my bosses recently changed their accountants for being rather ineffective & costing them a huge amount of CGT that wouldnt have been necessary if they'd been properly advised.
Do hope it turns out to be positive news. Dont stay up too late,
xx0
