Yep, I don't think small does it for compost - you might be out of luck there, gill.Lemon_Tree wrote: »I've got one of those darlick compost bins and it's great, they do them in various sizes so one may be small enough for your space.
I think I may be out of luck too! Although one of those dalek ones can be small enough, it would need to be too near the house really.
Back to the drawing board.
Just catching up KC, not been around for a few days. Definitely look at self assessment. When I was 'just' self employed it was quite straightforward and even when I got stuck they were helpful on the phone.
Hope you sort something out, as it's a lot to be short of.

That's because YOU are so kind
I think Northernlas has a good suggestion. The accountant has been negligent and should be held to .....account (ahem
)
You've given me confidence on the bendy ladders, I always thought they were a bit dangerous. Hope you get the accounts and other stuff sorted x
:o:o Thank you! I've been having a think, and I'll pay the invoice they've already sent - I won't pay for the alteration they're now doing, if they try to send me an invoice for that. I don't want to spend the energy on chasing them, frankly - and I'm sure they have an E&OE clause somewhere - after all, because I caught it in time, it didn't have any implications. I *will* check on past years, and I'm going to follow up on the runaround I still feel I'm getting on the French tax and double payment. And thats it, really, I don't want to give more energy to it than that.gilligansyle wrote: »I think I may be out of luck too! You can still put a few bits directly on the soil - tea leaves, coffee grounds - even potato peelings for the birds - along with those egg shells around the plants. Its not much, but its something. Does a neighbour have a compost bin?

I do, thank you! And I'm definitely going to go the self assessment route, there've been just too many errors and "not noticing" papers. I think because my income is so small, they really don't pay attention to it properly. Well, they can go whistle!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Today's plans are written up in the diary already - and thats what I'm doing now, making my plan for the day on the previous evening, not thinking about it *now*
I'm using the prompting of Wol's visit tomorrow to get the living room and bedroom fully functional - 2 boxes gone from the living room already, *finally* stashing away the bedding in the airing cupboard, so I'll get the armchair down from the bedroom and the computer from the bedroom to the office. Plus post office/bank/stamps from superdrug/ inspect that posh charity shop/buy more wild bird food/ take library books back/finally post sedge to Pippi.
Its going to be a really fantastic day that should see me a lot further forward than this morning. I'm really getting my feet under the table now - if I had a table, that is :rotfl:
EDIT - I had the oddest letter from South East Water - they credited my account with £20 because they didn't respond to me in time!
Plus my rebate from HMRC is now £93 - not as good as £1991 but still better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, as they say
I have a £5 Habitat gift card waiting to be used.
I bought my own Christmas present from my mum, which she gave me (lots of) cash for, so I can legitimately claim it on expenses - its a replacement phone, as mine stopped working.
I'm waiting for a total of £25 vouchers from survey sites - mind you, £15 of that I've been waiting for since 1 November, so we'll see.
Just thought I'd do a money post before I sign off for the rest of the morning

Yay for feet under virtual tables!
And hooray for visits
they make you get organised - I had to get all the pictures up before cheery came to be able to sweep the floor! Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

Daft question here
Do you have room for one of those smaller tumbling compost bins - they do it quicker (oh er missus) and they manage to be free standing - so if its not in the right place you could move it around?
Or a green cone - which will soak away the composty stuff and not too intrusive?
Or - do you have a local home composting service and ask their advice - we have one here
Worm farms are great and quite small space - but maybe not practical?Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Rather good money post there
Happy sorting and I hope you and Wol (and any visiting piggies) have a great day tomorrow. Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I'm glad the HMRC was a rebate rather than a charge. Lots of "bits" of income flowing in!!!!0

Good to hear you sounding so positive & 'on it'.
Any amount of rebate is good news.
Happy decluttering & shifiting

Yep, its good! And its such a lovely day here too - I finally got the sedge off to Pippi, and there was glorious sunshine, and ducks having baths, it was very nice.
Just refuelled now, and I'm off for the next bit, into "town"
