What lovely posts! I'm a happy little bunny reading this .... and laughing at Lula getting distracted by Guardian men
I'm really bad, I never noticed
:o:o that'll come next.
Been working on the start of my lists a la Cheri, I've got the "done" bits done, that was really important to me so I could see quite how far I've already come, as well as what I've still got to do. Got to go back now and look at her post, figure out what works for me.
It did thanks - it was touch and go by the end, as my voice was going, but I made it through, felt okay otherwise. I've cancelled London today tho, through those crowds, and that late journey back, I'd be on my knees.Pippilongstocking wrote: »Hope work went OK xCheery_Daff wrote: »Pah KC< just caught up on your adventures, and I'm glad you've decided to take the positive bits and leave the rest :j Good use of your time and energy :j
Thanks!
Great idea for the list from cherisong too! :T :T I know the feeling of not being able to stop
And as for being unpacked - Mr Daffs moved into this house 21 years ago this year - the bedroom walls still have the lining paper on, the bathroom's still 'being decorated', there's no plaster on the bedroom ceiling... I'd say you're progressing nicely and much faster than we are!
:j :j
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:You know, sometimes in trying to "rejoin" the world, I forget that there are loads of people like me, and not everyone has the high standards of some of my friends, or people I see on tv nattering to Kirstie and Phil :T
Bit distracted today - helping my sister with an email in relation to her husband's death - and in dfw matters, I'm trialling on paper a system I heard about by chance - laying favourites in footie matches - it worked the first week, but there were only two matches, this week I'm looking at 7 on Saturday, we'll see .... it'll be interesting.
List later - I'm probably just going to play with Cheri's ideas today, and I might *have* to go into town to put some money in the bank.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hehe - yes I think we sometimes forget that most of us are not like the people we see in TV and magazines, showing off their houses and glamorous exciting lives!
Good luck with the footie thing - sounds interesting

Hiya - I was just catching up on yours
the footie thing is interesting, isn't it, if it works it'll be great. I think it probably needs quite a high investment compared to actual matched betting, even if you start with bets of a fiver or so. I've no intention of sending any real money that way for another year or so
if it works, but since the guy was making a living at it (£500 a week) I'm sniffing there must be *some* money to be made. 2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Great linky Macgirl ... is it very wrong that I got completely side tracked by the advert for eligible Guardian reading males
. Had to laugh when it said that as a non -member I could only view 100 profiles. Only ? :rotfl:

Good luck with the footie thing. The principal behind laying bets etc. is what makes bookies rich and punters poor, so in theory something in it; in practice though....
As you say, watch 'pretend' bets and see how they do.

morning pippi:wave: I think its a bit calmer down here.
I've just put the first bits of washing on the line, lovely blue sky, bit of a breeze, so here's hoping. Otherwise its either drape it all over the house, or the launderette.
My little plastic greenhouse has gone on a bit of a wander round the yard, good job there was nothing in it yet. My baby lettuce leaves are doing well on the kitchen ledge and I can see the beginnings of shoots on some of the other stuff.

Morning - go you with your seedlings - thus far I have resisted but I fear I will succumb soon!
Brillaint growing in tiny spaces - cover the world in both edible and beautiful flowers thats what I say.
Fat chance of anything going outside here - it will end up in scotland - how sad am I - I know where my washing will end up by the direction of the wind - today a sse - which means laundry heading into scotland if I try and go out there not greenland like last week
Wrong diary - whoops sorry KC!

Morning KC & crew,
mild & dampish here, but due to brighten up later on
Two large holes now dug & filled with my homemade compost & this afternoon I'm going to collect my adopted fruit trees which will be named Conference & Victoria. Or, perhaps as they're mini trees they should be Con & Vic .... hmmmms perhaps not :rotfl:
I'm very excited :j will be taking lots of pics too.
I want my stuff to be as organic as possible but not sure whether it's worth buying organic seeds.
Any ideas or opinions anyone ?0 -

:wave::wave: How lovely! I noticed some bulbs coming up just outside the kitchen window today, which was also lovely but I'm like Lula, its grey and damp here. I do want to get a washing line set up here, but at least I cleaned the tops of the 2 little radiators dotted around the back of the house, so I can dry stuff there quickly. Sad your greenhouse has gone walkies
does it need to be pegged down? I know I *can* grow stuff here, its just getting round to it - mind you, although I feel really snuffly, and don't have a voice at the moment, my energy isn't *too* bad, compared to what it could be.Pippilongstocking wrote: »Did a post and lost it! Bah

Thanks for the pancakes
nothing terribly fun, can't even have my sister over, as she's got the sniffles too ... walking into the town centre today, to go to the bank, I'll stare about at civilisation for a while :rotfl:and I have some ebay listings to do, as its a free weekend.
At the moment, I walk into my bedroom and just stare admiringly at the amount of floor space I now have because I moved the armchair downstairs to the living room finally. I can also reach the built in wardrobe because of this
I can't tell you what a difference thats just made to my life, its a bit
really :rotfl:Morning KC & crew,

Ooh, Lula, well done you! They'll be very happy with you, I'm sure. I wonder about organic seeds too - Pippi will know, I'll bet.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
