  • Oh Karma, you have had a rough time with medical (or herbal) so-called professionals lately. I love the attitude you are taking though - you are fabulous, and you deserve better. I'm really glad that the injections have worked, and that is good news about not having RA.

It's shocking that the consultant could act like that, but it does seem to have caused a change in you, one which seems positive - so grrrr to her but :T to your reaction.

Yes that is good news that the injections have worked. Was it a like a Cortizone injection? I know people who have had them, my Mum for tennis elbow (from cleaning not tennis!) and said it was excrutiating - worse than childbirth.

She is 61 and still doesn't feel middle-aged - says age is just a number - ignore it! I think that's a good attitude.
Glad you liked the link. The little booklet is great - bitesize and easy to read and incorporate into your life. Good news about the podcast too, I'll download that myself!

    Have a good day :)

I think so, macgirl - never having had a cortisone injection either, I don't really know. If it was that painful for your mum, maybe my consultant *did* wait for the local anaesthetic to take effect? Who knows. Who cares now, really ....

Glad to hear your mum's thoughts on this and the ageing thing :)

Right, I'm working in 20 mins - off for final preps. Hope everyone has a good day.

Pah KC< just caught up on your adventures, and I'm glad you've decided to take the positive bits and leave the rest :j Good use of your time and energy :j

Great idea for the list from cherisong too! :T :T I know the feeling of not being able to stop

And as for being unpacked - Mr Daffs moved into this house 21 years ago this year - the bedroom walls still have the lining paper on, the bathroom's still 'being decorated', there's no plaster on the bedroom ceiling... I'd say you're progressing nicely and much faster than we are! :D :j :j

I'm assuming steroid injections are for osteo arthritis too, Maty. I'll have a little check.

Doh! Why didn't I think of that!

Great linky Macgirl ... is it very wrong that I got completely side tracked by the advert for eligible Guardian reading males :o. Had to laugh when it said that as a non -member I could only view 100 profiles. Only ? :rotfl:
  • Super-full marks to you for taking such a horrible negative experience with one who really ought to know to behave better, and turning it into something positive to give you the drive and determination to not let such awful behaviour get to you. :T:T:T
