:jWelcome Home KC:j
so glad to hear that all is right in your world & Christmas was a 'success' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
must admit that over the holidays we use bailey's instead of milk in our coffee! so very easy to have a little too much over the course of the day!
bought a couple of those dealia cranberry packs on clearance - turns out they have a high pectin content so did not have to use apples as well - bunged them in jam cycle of the breadmaker and lo and behold 3 jars of tart cranberry relish for £1!!! - lasts a week in the fridge & freezes as well - so two jars with head room cooling for the freezer & one for the fridge to eat with just about everything! (OH won't touch it but that just means more for me - lol)

I, otoh, have got a bog standard bottle of cava from Sainsbo for tonight :j
(plus four underbed storage boxes from tatco, at £3.47 each, but we aren't counting those. I'm just very excited about setting my office area to rights :j:j:j)

Hi Ellidee, hi Taxi! Yep, doing good here
I didn't do much with the bed construction and storage yesterday, but I've been up for a little while and I'm plotting my moves for today - while simultaneously giving thanks to First Capital Connect and their five free tickets offer - counting tomorrow, they'll have saved me about £40, I reckon, that was *so* worth while doing
So today, as the weather is *dreadful* this afternoon, I'll be hopping off fairly soon on my fourth rail ticket freebie, to the most easily accessible Asda - wanting to stock up on my pestoand so on
Otherwise, the odd phone call, and putting together the office (finishing the bed off, cleaning, getting the storage I bought yesterday into use) - I need a quiet day today, as I'll be out for NYE tomorrow.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I'm so glad I drink my coffee black! The temptation to use up some cheap imitation Baileys may have been too strong.

Baileys in coffee  the only thing I want in my coffee other than some nice frothy milk is another shot of coffee
Nice to see you getting out and about KC and going out NYE too you wild thing:rotfl:
We will have a quiet NYE it always used to be a night for constructing lego and other toys for the big twins so has always been a quiet time for us except for a few years when we accidentally moved house to an area where three of my OHs school friends lived (accidentally as we hadn't realised they all lived there IYSWIM) we used to meet up Christmas morning for a drink and then set a fancy dress theme for NYE giving us a week to get a costume sorted as we all lived within 200 yards no driving so lots of drinking those were the days when I could party now I wouldn't stand the pace

Excellent free ride was had - if I'd been better prepared, I could have done a few days out in December weekends - as far as Exeter, for example, but pootling around here is still what I needed to do, so its fine.
NYE - it used to be very easy, just walk to the next road, potter back at 1am, even if I was exhausted, it was no problem. Now, because the couple who live further away from the event than I do aren't actually going, I have to leave before midnight - otherwise I won't get home till 5am or so, and I can't do that _pale_:o - and bearing in mind what a wimp I am with a normal late night of 1am or so, I'm really glad I have to leave before midnight _pale_:o.
Anyway, bed is constructed, and everything is tidied up upstairs, tho that means there's loads of stuff downstairs to be put away. Plus I haven't filled up the new storage boxes - as usual, I planned to do too much, and I'll be shattered if I don't stop, so I'm stopping
I had a glass of cava last night, so another one is due tonight2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
