KC I cant begin to say how different your posts are from when I first started to read your diary. Flapping your wings girl........ never mind flapping them you need to hold them out strong and soar, I think all the flapping has been done.

Thank you! Those years of scrabbling to pay down the debt, and then falling ill with arthritis and mysterious viruses had really taken their toll, sadly - how I am now, is much closer to how I consider my real self to be - there are still pitfalls and whatnot, but I love travel, I love getting out - its even better now, because I'm prepared to listen to myself much more about what I do and don't want, and who I do and don't want to be friends with.

Energy levels are still dodgy - this is just the start of winter, after all, and I'm not assuming anything, still taking a *lot* of care - but I feel a lot, erm, "safer" comes to mind. Like I said about the flooring - the basics are there :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Psst...I may have started a diary!
  • I think you've summed it all up very well. You are now starting to listen to your body and stop, before it takes a toll on you. You have done so much to this house, but you've done it in baby steps, so it probably doesn't sound like much. The whole tone of what you say is different at the moment.

Thank you! Yes, thats how it feels, really different. I used to think about you sitting down happily and creating your cards, and wondering where the time and space and energy could come from. Now that the basics are back in place (for the first time in a long time - the 1990s spring to mind!) I can find all of that too. I *did* used to have it, but regaining it has really been due to the role models on here, including you.

Thank you Taxi! Yes, it feels like that - there are blips, of course, but thats all they are, and they're bound to be there because, y'know, I'm a human being ... definitely heading upwards :):):)

Anyway, this is the last time I shall be on here for a little while, before you know what, so have a merry Christmas all, get some relaxation time in as well as looking after everyone else, and come back empowered for the New Year
