    Thanks MrsMoo ... yes, its that kind of day, strangely :) what a shame about the Nutcracker ticket! I saw his Swan Lake a few years ago in London, but I was ill and I can't remember too much. Any chance of catching the film somewhere else?

    Thank you Rosa! I had a nice lazy day yesterday, after the night out - tho there's a few frantic phone calls going on here and there about the Boxing Day meal, which isn't sorted yet. House renovations near Christmas ... who'd do it, hey? Not me!

    Anyway, my list is done, and none of it is particularly dfw apart from cleaning the "public" areas of the house, as I have four hours work today, it has to look acceptable :)

    :hello::hello: :hello:waves frantically as DT's light is still on! Thank you for your good wishes - I don't really compare, I don't suppose, its just that I wish I was out and about doing more stuff, sort of thing.

    No problem with not getting on here on the day, I know you're rushed off your feet - and dongles will do what dongles will do, sadly :p

    You had a little baa-lamb round your way?

    Nephew continues to be brill, and things are pretty much sorted. Sister has just been round for a :bdaycake: gluten free from Waitrose :j so all is definitely well with the world.

  • DT waves back :wave::wave::wave::wave::wave:

    Yes the sheepy one finally turned up 4 days late and we managed to be in the same place at the same time for a couple of hours :D although at one stage it looked like it was going to be a rendevouz in a service station :)

    Definitely approve of cake gluten free or not :j:j:j

    So pleased all is well with your world can't ask for more than that :D

    Aw, thank you miz! Thats really nice :) and checking in every so often is fine :) I'm checking in less and less often myself :)

    No paid work today, loads tomorrow and quite a bit on Thursday, and the timing of all that was a real stroke of luck - my sister could come round, I could be around for an all-day delivery for a bedframe off the internet, and lots of bits got done, Christmassy and otherwise.

    I'm going to be switching the fridge freezer off - the motor is definitely dying, and I don't want it to blow up or anything - even a 1 in 100 chance is crazy to take, so my sister's got a couple of kilos of frozen veg from me (she brought me loads of stuff incidentally, I certainly got the best deal, bless her). I had a sense it was on the outs, so I've been running down the food in there. Still, it means that this afternoon, I've been very focussed on using food, cooking it - quorn, onions and carrots, and .... ta-da, finally, blackberry jam :o:o:o they've been sitting in the freezer since I picked them.

    So I've still got to clear the space for the bed, and construct the bed ... oops ... still, its here, and thats the start of the second part of getting the house to rights :j:j:j
