    I'm on my way :)
    Priority to-do list:
    - two hours paid work. Done
    - post amazon parcel. Done
    - stuff self with vitamin pills. Started

    Probable to-do list:
    - its time to send money to France again, sigh. Since I do this on the computer from home, there's not really any reason not to do it. Not done
    - order the Countryfile calendar for my mum, again, I can do it from the computer, and it'll give me the illusion I've done something for Christmas :)Done

Hey Karma - sorry about the cold - a lot of bugs going around. Look after yourself and do as little as you can get away with - definitely goes away faster when you take care of yourself!

Well done on your list - but why aren't you resting under a duvet with a cup of lemsip and a load of sentimental old movies? :naughty:

:hello: Thanks miz! I honestly don't feel bad enough to go to bed, plus the bed isn't terribly comfortable (thats why all the mattress shopping recently with my sister). And I don't want to cancel clients if I can possibly help it - two hours is, frankly, a huge percentage of my weekly money :o But I've done the work now, and I'm slobbing out in slobby clothes in my armchair right by a huge radiator in front of the tv, Top Gear repeat on :D, and lappie on my knee :rotfl: It doesn't really get any better, but thank you :kisses3: I will look after myself. DVD of Harry Potter 7 pt1 is at the ready, pt 2 ordered for delivery on Friday :j and my left over vouchers at amazon took £1.47 off the price for me :j

Interesting in the thing about aromatherapy. One of my previous employers used to get really bad feedback on staff surveys so introduced a 'quiet room'; staff could legitimately just go and sit and chill for half an hour or so. They also had someone come in to do head massages etc. The woman who did it always had oil burners and her favourite was rose geranium oil, which was apparently good for depression and to relieve anxiety (I think) - but just made me feel sick.

You're getting on with loads, keep warm.

Hope you're not too sniffly today. You're still getting lots done!

That is fascinating about the aromatherapy - amazing the power of smells. Both creosote and box hedges remind me of summers at my grandparents down south. Also find it really strongly with perfumes - can't wear some that I used to love because they remind me of certain times in life.

  • Oh poor KC - and I'm with you all on aroma giving a retro feel to life!

I'm like that with perfumes too can't touch Ysl now - too many memories

Red - very true - Box hedging smells (in my mind) of cat pee - ergh!

Images are funny too arent' they - when ever I see poppies in a field I am transported back to being peedie and in England - and the smells come flooding back of cornfields and mud on my knees. Even if I'm driving now and I see them - its like I can smell 1973 in Oxfordshire!

Have a good un filled with not many sniffles and vitamin pills.

    xx

Slow to surface on here today, as it was difficult to sleep and I was *determined* to stay in bed as long as I could. The trouble with my lurgies is that they progress so slowly ... I'm definitely trying to head this one off at the pass tho, so it never really takes hold. I do want to send that money to France today, but otherwise the idea is to do as little as possible, tho I do need to do something, or I'll never sleep tonight.

I'm trying, Taxi - I'm not really doing anything at the mo, just the basics, which does feel like spoiling myself, its kind of working, but leaving me with no Christmas cards written or accounts finished. Might do the Christmas letter on the laptop today...
