    Crikey Karma,

if it's leaves you want, I can happily deliver some black bags of Junction 10 1/2s finest to you.

Would Moddom prefer this years fresh ones, or an earlier vintage ? I have 2010 & 2009 in stock :rotfl:.

I mainly snaffle cardboard & strips of wood from the work skip, Boss is quite happy as the more I snaffle, the more room there is & the longer it will be until he has to have skip changed over again ;).

Well done on the work skip! Thats the thing, anybody who's paying for the skip is really happy for people to take stuff, because then they can put more in again :)

Shouldn't you be putting your leaves on your own garden? After all, you're growing food too! But if frugaliciousness doesn't extend to leaves, then Moddom would seriously love some early vintage :D:D:D so if you're passing this way feel free

I *did* just manage to get the leaves, plus my little postal treasure, who I've nicknamed Tolly, is sitting in some lovely compost (shop bought, sadly!) at the office window.

Believe it or not, I'm about to *start* work - I *so* don't like this Friday evening malarkey, but its a lot better than having to go to London.

Hope everyone has a lovely evening.

  • Hi KC - you've been doing *loads* and sounding really cheery about it.

Pity 'moddom' lives so far away as it seems like every leaf in the park is now on my front doorstep. So that's my first job.

Hiya! Yep, feeling very cheery - but oh bother, more leaves I can't get to :p You could always put by a single bag - you use containerised plants, don't you? Next year, they could have a lovely home made mulch!

Actually, I must remember to open up the bag I did yesterday and water it, they need water, I think.

Today is sort of a work day for me - 3 hour seminar, then an hour committee meeting. Sigh ... and I'm hopping up and downstairs like a mad thing to do the gluten free pasta to take with me, and I want to go sooooooon so I can go to poundland for the tulip bulbs Cheri mentioned, plus doing the banking - bother! When I get back, its going to be Strictly and thats it ...

Off to your thread after the pasta's on ...

4 days work on a Saturday doesn't sound so much fun - hope you get time to fit the jolly stuff in around it. Have a good day.

Hello, glad my random thoughts have sparked a possible income thread. The Animal aunt things are good. If you are wanting to sit in your own house though you might want to try advertising for yourself first. There are no regulations around home boarding at the moment. I have found a most fabulous boarder for Max, she came as a recommendation from a company that I tracked down in North Wales who couldnt accommodate him last Christmas. They had done pet sitting for her two danes and she is great. She charges £15 per night (It was £30 over christmas period as double time for holidays). He loves it there. Why not try word of mouth as a start so that you could choose the people first. It would be lovely to have kitty cuddles.

You sound really chirpy right now. Glad all is good with you. And Cheery parcels too. Sounds lovely

:hello: Hello! Yes, all's good here - tho it turned out to be *6* hours work yesterday _pale_ it was made up for by the fact that the committee stuff was much, much easier than was bargained for, problem sorted itself :j

Gave me a ringing headache, tho, so in contrast to Lula's thread, where I've been reading how wonderful a Friday night she had, I had a *very* quiet night in - it was exactly what I needed, but nothing to write home about.

This morning, a few dfw bits and pieces - bulk cooking some butterbeans and mung beans for the next week, and I hopped out to a garage sale locally, never been to one before, I bought a lovely terracotta plant saucer for indoors, and a nice big terracotta pot, combined total 50p. The pot will take the little blueberry plant I bought from poundland yesterday - mine didn't have any more tulips :(

As I was doing lunch, I was zooming outside and smashing some old crockery with a hammer :D there's a purpose, honestly - its to go inside the pot for drainage. Then it was another couple of inches of the crap stuff in the soon-to-be-ex-border, to act as subsoil, and now I'll use the special ericaceous compost to put the actual little blueberry in. I hope its still alive **worried smiley**

Mmmmm.... apart from that, nothing much ... off to a games evening this evening, and as I found a bottle of wine last week when I was tidying the pantry, thats sort of free :D

Hope everyone's having a good day - I'd better be off soon so I can do some garden-y stuff.

And if you drink it before you go out this evening, you'll be able to play "spin the bottle"... ;)
