  • Ah 25 mile walks sound pretty good :) Glad you had a nice day seeing your partner.

We seem to have gained lots of new channels with the digital switchover last month - lots more rubbish though!

Your area's done the digital switcheroo? Anything positive at all about it? I only retuned after seeing a friend recently, who's something of a tv addict as well as managing a very active social life - I can see how all those channels would get you stuck, if you were inclined to it like she is - it may sound good, to have a fest of Top Gear or Time Team or even Burn Notice :D but in reality its incredibly boring :p

Okay, back to the paperwork, I *need* to leave the house in half an hour.

Hmm well there was the two weeks where we had about half the number of usual channels, now we have more than we did before, but nothing worth waiting for.. except maybe the food channel but that's only on for about two hours a day. Signal seemed worse when it was changed over as well but it has settled down now. I'm probably not the best person to ask as we only watch maybe 2 or 3 programmes a week plus a bit of 'background noise'!

Not a problem ... just wondering .... I zoomed off in the middle to finish off the paperwork, which is sent off as a pdf and as hard copy, go me!!!

Then - ta-da! - I went into town (in gentle rain, v autumnal!) and bought that vinyl for the bedroom. They had an extra little bit off the price today, so instead of paying £16.99 per square metre, which is the normal price (I've been keeping my eye on it, so I know thats true) I paid £11.48 per square metre. I started getting cold feet even so, but then when I measured the room realised I can just manage with the 3m width, not the 4m, which is a huuuuuuuuge cost saving, so away I went :j:j:j the price of the vinyl itself is just under £200 _pale_ but its lovely, and its dumb to miss a reduction of 32%.

Majority of the paid work is done, but I have to wait a while for some more - I think I might kick back with Harry Potter, tho it is *lovely* out there right now.

Yep, distinct chuffedness here - it will cost a lot more yet, partly to repair the floorboards (v saggy and bouncy) and partly ordinary laying, but its worth it.

    Oops,offline again.

  • Good bargain on the vinyl. Are you getting someone to do it, or doing it yourself?
