I'm so glad you've got your balance back. It may sound strange to you but I follow you as one of the most balanced posters on here. It's a wake up call for me that the balance can be so fragile - I 'knew' it but had got complacent.I think that Tricia just made me understand why I love coming to read your diary.
This is so right. You are always so calm and collected. So a little blip is a bit of a jolt. I forgot to say also, please dont go anywhere. That's more like itKarmacat,
I'm a bit concerned that you're experiencing tough times - agree with how Tricia put it.
Permission to leave denied.
How lovely :kisses3::kisses3::kisses3: And thank you again to everyone who postedOdd to think of myself as balanced, but there you go
I did indeed have a lovely day yesterday - buying kitchen tiles and whatnot for my sister, I had a helpful convo with the people there about the mould I found in the bathroom, then a lovely day at her, with both her kids ... reminiscing about the past, plotting for the futureespecially Norfolk and the summer in general
it was great.
Today, after I've more or less got my act together, I definitely need to do stuff in the garden - plant up that mint, for instance? That would be nice :rotfl: and some weeding. I have bush that might be blackcurrantswhich I really had better pick ... more raspberries ... what a very nice little garden I have
Then shower off all that pollen and off out to a Games Evening, which I adore :j I have a bottle of wine already, on a Sainsbo deal, so its just a single train ticket and then a walk to the house ... wearing something *pleasant* from my wardrobe, not something I've thrown on cos its easy :j

Sounds like a lovely day & evening ... all the better for some wine too

I just lost a huge post! Bother! I basically came on to prattle, and went into a metaphysical land of the positivity I'd learned from mse, in place of the relentless self-examination/diving into the dark that I'd been living in. Possibly the universe just rescued me from being too specific on that :rotfl:this is a wonderful place, you know!
Anyway, prattle beckons: I realised I didn't need to live with the choices made by the previous inhabitantsin the garden, and have been chopping away at a particular plant that I really quite dislike, as well as seeing to more of the dratted sedge. And I've been weeding, and doing more widening of the border, so I can plant my stuff.
Came inside to get away from the sun and snackand investigated the rest of the oven instead, now the door is clean, thats possible. I thought it was going to be as bad as the door, but its not :j all that needs hard cleaning is the door ledge and the shelf supports, which means I'm nearly done :j:j:j the inside really didn't need much of a clean at all
So now, a bit more lolling about, I'll go plant a few things, then go soak in the bath *properly*, in celebration, and preparation for tonight
You lovely lot :kisses3::kisses3::kisses3:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Oooooh bizarre,
I often do long rambling & very self indulgent posts ... only to find I lose my connection or similar. I think it is the MSE guardian angels who think "oh no, she'll really regret posting that lot so I'll just dissolve it into the ether ".
Been building a wardrobe for DD. It's only 6 mnths since i bought it & it has been in boxes against the wall in her room ever since.
Just bashed my nail with a hammer & yelled out a profanity so have been sent out to cool down & watch tennis for a while.
Time to break open the cider me thinks0 -
Some Americans did a study on this (who funds these things?), and pretty much reckoned it was about 24 hours before anything crawled/grew on it.
Well there's a relief. When I was studying Public Health, we took swabs from 'clean' plates and it put me off eating out in restaurants for quite a while :eek: I think/hope standards have improved.
If you're laid low by bacteria from a nominal healthy workmate, then your immune system needs to go on a Jane Fonda Workout (other exercise regimes may be available). Agreed!and went into a metaphysical land of the positivity I'd learned from mse, in place of the relentless self-examination/diving into the dark that I'd been living in.
LOL :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: That does sound like the pronunciations which are improved by some wine/beer/cider/tipple of choice
You lovely lot :kisses3::kisses3::kisses3:
And back to you. :kisses3::kisses:But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
Hi there! Ah yes, the language studies as she relates to alcohol
much better! Bit early right now, especially as I'm drinking tonight
but I'm almost ready to go out, just hanging out now - planted the mint I brought with me in a pot (finally!!!) but I'll need to do some watering before I go out tonight...

The one I was referring to is the second map down on the right entitled Mercury: The Grail Land - the map expands. I had it in a booklet, and its online now, of course. The booklet actually sounds a bit potty now, but it made sense at the time2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sounds like you've had a very productive day in the garden and that you've a lovely evening planned0
