I'm so glad you've got your balance back. It may sound strange to you but I follow you as one of the most balanced posters on here. It's a wake up call for me that the balance can be so fragile - I 'knew' it but had got complacent.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

I think that Tricia just made me understand why I love coming to read your diary.

This is so right. You are always so calm and collected. So a little blip is a bit of a jolt. I forgot to say also, please dont go anywhere.

    That's more like it :D.

    Karmacat,

I'm a bit concerned that you're experiencing tough times - agree with how Tricia put it.

    Permission to leave denied :p.

I think there's some serious backtracking going on with Squizz & her amazing oven cleaning abilities ;).

I've always believed in building up a child's immune system by natural means, the five second rule also applies in this house to anything going on the floor.

As to desk cleaning though, I am a bit picky. I work with guys & I don't know if they all wash their hands after peeing so just in case they don't & then use my phone, keyboard or mouse ... I do wipe them over with an anti bac wipe on a monday morning.

Enough weird confessions for one day,

    hope you're enjoying yourself KC

Some Americans did a study on this (who funds these things?), and pretty much reckoned it was about 24 hours before anything crawled/grew on it.

Urine is sterile in virtually all cases (especially in men) and so no one is going to get bacteria from that. It's more likely they'll get bacteria from the handles on the doors leading into the toilets.

Though of course, all bets are off if they scratch their back ends. Bacteria, fungi, even worm eggs can be the bumper bonanza they receive when they do that...

If you're laid low by bacteria from a nominal healthy workmate, then your immune system needs to go on a Jane Fonda Workout (other exercise regimes may be available).

My immune system is in great condition thanks Z ... I just know that men do various things that women don't & whilst I'm not scared of picking up some disease, I dislike the thought of it. The phone has more to do with smokers using it & the smell lingering on the mouthpiece. Makes me feel sick.

You are not the only one! - don't worry it's normal for women to feel grossed out by men's bad habits, imagined or otherwise! (sorry Z but it's true - lol)

I also make a point of doing door handles, light switches as well as the fax and photocopier touchpads every time they even have a hint of 'manflu' - if the illness is the typical man thing it usually goes away by lunch time & if it's real they are banished to their own offices until they decide to go home and sleep it off! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Not any more!

I don't think there's anything left that men do and women can't. Except perhaps burn a boil-in-the-bag curry...

The operative word I used was women don't, not can't :p

I'm perfectly capable of fiddling with various part so my anatomy ... but I don't.

My boss is actually just as concerned as me & wipes all door handles every morning, so that's one little job he's saved me:rotfl:
