Sorry you had such a bad day yesterday, glad you decided to come back. I do think there is something in the thing about these days babies are so protected that they don't know how to fight things off, whereas some of us just had to get on with it and still ended up with allergies etc.
Girl I work with was horrified when I told her about my mum accidentally leaving DS outside a shop in his pram! Not bothered that she'd forgotten him, but that she'd left him outside! No wonder my ankles are always bruised. They take the buggies into the tiniest shops these days.
Oops I sound like my mother.

Hope things are getting better today Karmacat - and that they continue to do so. I second RedSquirrel's comment - definitely don't leave.

Thanks guys
feeling a bit better now, I've just spent an hour on the phone as damage control, and things are looking up. Trading has completely gone by the way, of course, which was inevitable.
I think I deserve the biggest helping of ... I know, a snickers bar! Excellent.
GTD organising it is, today. After the snickers bar.
Allergies/ overcaring today - totally! Though there was never a golden age ... my mum was really funny on that yesterday, actually. She often gets women in their 70s talking to her as if she was younger than them, and one of them tried it on yesterday, about the lovely atmosphere during the war years. Not altogether so! There was good stuff and bad stuff, just like now!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Yum, snickers - enjoy!
Overcleaning is one of my bugbears (I think I got this from my mum!).. it always amazes me when I see people with babies using all sorts of chemical antibacterial things around them. It also amazes me that one of my colleagues feels the need to clean her desk with such things several times a week! My desk is a bit dusty/ crumby but I'm sure it's not going to kill me :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

That is so nice ... thank you! Fortunately, thanks to a night's sleep, the determination to learn from the past, and an hour's phone calls, I'm on the mend. Though when I've had my protein snack, I'm still heading out to buy that snickers bar2023: the year I get to buy a car0
