Been having a philosophical discussion on FW's thread. And I *must* get back onto the Matrix - tho when my Windows 7 crashed, I lost some stuff, and the links to it were part of that again. Makes me wonder what the universe is trying to tell me.
Speaking of enthusiasms yesterday - my favourite fanfic writer, Synedochic, has written some more fanficshe is *immensely* cultured, and chooses to express her thoughts and angst about this world we live in through the medium of writing - novels, really - which she releases for free on dreamwidth. I'm such a happy camper about finding more of her fic, it would be hard to express
So I'll talk about my tableits half done, because I hadn't charged the screwdriver, and when I thought I left it on charge, I didn't switch the plug on at the wall
so that didn't go too well :rotfl: but I've got the supports together and almost fastened onto the table top. Finish that, attach the legs, then attach the little extensions, and away we go
Must go to Sainsbo, stuff to buy - tho I bought a million toilet rolls yesterday - 18 for £5 - I'm stocked up till Christmas!
And I'm off out tonight, unusually, to one of our Games Evenings, Hurray.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hello KC & all!
Popped on to leave an update on the great spring clean! (can't say that without a giggle going right through me) OH has not only mowed our meadow to a tidy bowling green - he also washed the car!!! I've dug up all the broadleaf weeds (prior to the mow) & given the herb garden a good prune - sage and bayleafs anyone? - going online now to find out how to dry the sage without it going brown (any suggestions gratefully received). As the heavens are now about to open we've axed the garden furniture restore and the evening bbq!

That sounds great, RT, good for you! Pippi stores fresh sage frozen, I'm sure, tho I don't know if she dries it first. From what I've read, but without knowing, if you see what I mean, a platewarming heat of the oven would dry it out. Good luck! I'm just off to do more coffee, and to finish the table. Been to Sainsbo, and managed quite a few saves:
- wine at £9 a bottle (bit doubtful about that) was on at 3 for £12.
- reduction of £2 for a £20 spend.
- double nectar points.
- 40p off Alpro desserts - so I got 2 for £2.50, and they last till December this year, so all very mse. And I wanted organic potatoes, as root veg get left with a lot of pesticide on them, so I worked hard to find the cheapest organic tattiesdead mean, thats me
proud of it tho

Hope you're having a good Monday Karma
Rtandon - we dried some sage by laying it out on kitchen roll to dry for a couple of days, then just tying up bunches with string and hanging them up the kitchen cupboard handles - they didn't stay bright green, went a sort of pale grey-green but didn't go brown.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Committed now - I think I've decided I'm past doing the bus journey there - I'll finagle like crazy for the train, but a bus journey of that distance - no, I'm done with it, until I retire anyway. Now I know why I like you so much - :rotfl:- if there is a bargain to be had, you are there!!!!!:D:D
That said, I have limits, as above - organic tatties, not basics, and trains not coaches for journeys of more than 200 milesredsquirrel80 wrote: »Hope you're having a good Monday Karma
Good tip on the sage, Squizz, thanks.
I'm having a good day thanks, yes, tho its **cold** My little table is up and functioning - for drinks coasters, I'm going to use a couple of pieces I found in a craft market in Barcelona a few years ago - someone was obviously cutting down their cork trees, sadly, so I have two roundels of cork tree, each about two centimetres thick, to act as drinks coasters :j I might have to varnish them first, or put ordinary ones on top for now, so they're not marked, I don't quite know what to do. They're very beautiful, but they have to be used, after all. They cost the grand sum of one euro each :j
Paid attention to the trading, was prepared to trade. I did loose my concentration at one stage, as opposed to taking a break, by phoning my sister to arrange our Olympics tickets, oops. There was one trade that would've shown a profit that would be my daily aim even if I was trading full time, it was great, **but** it didn't do it in the timescale I know I can currently cope with. It never exceeded the loss I've set for myself as the maximum acceptable (they call it a stoploss) but I would've needed to be in the trade for an hour, and I can only cope with about a quarter of that at the moment :money: I'll get better. This is about re-training my concentration this week, and I'm pleased with how it went.
Off for a walk now, to get my dose of vitamin d2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
