Wow!!!! there's something in this lessening the flow of information! How wonderful that we've all intuitively hit on the same thing :jAnd, you know, we created this energy between us, all of us - its on my thread, but its not just me, its an energy flow between us all. I love it :jReduced e-mail time from 60mins to 15mins & now spend the other 45mins communicating with friends and planning and ploting the day/week out - it's amazing how much happier I feel having a bit more 'me' time.:)
RT, it was you that started me thinking, actually, I remember you saying about the newsletters - I didn't realise it had made that much difference!
KC if you really need this sort of service, my hand is up & I'm closer to home! - lol
LOL indeed :rotfl: not yet!
BTW it is ***fabulous*** that you are gradually going forward with the trading! Baby steps and all! It's just brilliant that you can get your mind round it - had a peak at an on-line service with the bank 'over the pond' so now have a little teeny weeny idea of what you are doing - just amazing!Hi KC great minds and all that, Ive just been clearing the office out and have um a few books for the charity shop IYKWIM:rotfl: just a few!!!!
Turfy! You posted! I'm impressed :kisses3:good for you.
I'm really getting a sense of the shape of my days when I'm a permanent trader. Trading in the morning, plus the odd session when the client can only do mornings. Break for lunch, session work or a walk. And later on, possibly sessions if I haven't had any before, or house stuff, or admin stuff. I probably need to make sure that I cook before 6pm or so, because I'm currently not fresh enough to do anything new and complex by then. I need to recover enough to sometimes do *something* in the evening, the class I mentioned or *something* ... we'll see about that.
Today, trading in the morning - I must say, there have been so few signals this week, I'd be a bit wary of doing anything, and there's a lot of news this morning, so I still may not have the chance; I'm working at midday for an hour, then off to see a friend who's working in the town for a day or so :j In between times, I *must* get my French accounts off to France today - I did a lot of scanning and printing yesterday, and the accounts are already drafted, so it shouldn't take long.
Plus lots of bits, notably wrapping a **very** late Christmas present for the friend I'm meeting today - Christmas was another non-event this year, with all the lurgy I had....

Morning Karma.. that's fantastic that you're actually envisaging life as a trader, does that make it seem a little bit closer and more real?

It does, Squizz, thats right - I've had lots of fantasies, of course, but this feels very real now, very practical, which I love. Its not "jet off to Mauritius", but it is doable - next year's targets will be different, I'm sure, but for now, this is fine.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Anyone else think hayfever season is starting, I always get it in spring from the new buds and for the last week I felt rough, but it never turns into a full blown cold, just really sinusy headachy? One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

Meh - Mauritius is over-rated in any case!
All sounds like it's going well anyway - and thanks for the kick up the proverbial re decluttering, I've just sorted out two email inboxes! I MUST try to get back to my thing of decluttering 5 items a day - it made such a difference, but I've slacked a bit of late.
On that note, I shall go and do that now!

Morning! Hope you managed the decluttering, EH - it really does build up, doesn't it. I've just been unpacking my previous year's accounts from the accountant, and packing them away in a format that takes less space. Also realised that I don't need to keep ordinary personal stuff, which I keep a selection of just to prove that I do have a life outside of what I claim - if I do get audited by the IR, they won't be interested in that, so it can go. I can't do it at the moment, got too much on, but I will.
I posted off my French accounts yesterday too, while I was out with my friendlovely to see her. I have another letter to scan and post to them tho
ah well, then its done.
I've decided not to even *look* at the trading today, it would be false - I have a bloke coming round from Sainsbury's Energy, so its not a safe morning to trade anyway, he could arrive at any time, and because the trades are short, I couldn't be away from the computer. So I've been using the time to finish things up and do stuff, and most importantly I'm going to write the complaint letter follow up about the mattress, so that I don't have to do it on Monday, when I *will* be trading.
I've been thinking about how I use my time too - I've been so lucky to have lots of really well paid work at home, with no travel time, and I just used to muck about, not doing anything. Then when I was trying to get debt free, I'd be working all the hours I was sent, and made myself ill and had no life.
But now, I'm trying to combine having a life, working almost part time as a therapist (ten hours a week ) with trading (twenty hours a week ) AND with having a life - and that means that there's got to be a bit less lolling about. I still need *some* lollabout time, of course :rotfl: and I know that on here it sounds like I do lots. But I'm the one who knows what I do hour to hour, and I think there's a huge amount of time I could reclaim from useless activity! So thats what I plan to do - like, today, I'm not going to "sit with" the trading - I won't look at it because I'll be distracted by waiting for the engineer, so I'll do other stuff that needs doing.
Right now, I'm going to buy my ticket home from London online, so I can print it on my outward journey and not queue at Gatwick, I'm going to havea cup of tea and potter on here (already been doing stuff since about 7.30) and then get going on those complaint letters.millionairedom will prevail.

Love the plan KC - it sounds like the 'declutter' bug has hit full-on! Decluttering time is such an amazing way to feel better overall isn't it (dare we use the word holistic?) - amazing knock-on effects result.
Over the next month, I think the next step from me will have to be to gain a balance between wasting time on facebook games and filing paperwork away in the appropriate place! The games really do release the day to day stresses, but the piles of paper add long-term stress - so balance is needed! Please feel free to apply a gentle boot up the @r$e when (not if) it the plan goes awry - temptations, temptations...

Boot is held at the ready, lol! I don't do facebook games, but I do play several of the simple games that come preloaded on the computer, and one or two of the ones that have been referenced in the weekly email from here .... and ten minutes or so might relieve stress, but the way I use them actually adds to stress, I can feel the addictiveness oozing out of my pores, so to speak :rotfl: I don't like it at all, I'm just giving in to a compulsion - and thats definitely not how I want to spend my time :money:2023: the year I get to buy a car0
