Fabulous idea, I'll get the house on the market straightaway, but I'm sure I could find plenty of other housework to avoid there0

I'm pretty good at the stare cleaning - that's when I just look at it...
But you have to avoid giving it a dirty look - that just makes it worse."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Dearie me there's been a lot of housework talk on this thread! Last time I tried to hoover the stairs I nearly fell down them (hoover is too heavy!) so I'm not doing that again - ha!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

You can even pay for them to come out and service them and they give you freebies as well..may time to dust off the old Dyson( after repair) and see if you can then be a two hoover girl..leave one upstairs and one downstairs, then there is no humping of heavy hoovers;) The stairs well i prefer to get a damp cloth and use that, gets up far more dirt than the hoover and the carpet comes up lovely..i am just sad i know:o:rotfl::o:o I have her bagless Hoover instead. Don't hit me :rotfl:

We have a Miele (I can't get on with Dyson's, don't like seeing the stuff inside) and its really good, has lasted me for years, but I went on holiday and forgot to check bag before I went. DS was being good and hoovering, especially as I went at New Year and he had to take the xmas tree down, and he kept on hoovering even when it screamed at him, until eventually the bag exploded!redsquirrel80 wrote: »Dearie me there's been a lot of housework talk on this thread! I do have to keep the bits of the house that people see regularly fairly clean however - and in emergencies that can mean what my mum does, picking up the visible bits from the carpet and not seeing the rest

My gardening yesterday was a bit sad - I have 2 buddleias in this garden, both of them quite big - the furthest from the house (like, 20 feet away
) has just split in two at the root - I gave it a bit of a pull, and loads of it just broke off at the root, and the rest of it is draped over all sorts of plants
I think I'm going to have to cut it right down to the stump, which will mean I can do very little else - the pain is coming back in that shoulder, so I'm quite wary. But I have to do something, it looks awful, there's ex-tree all over the garden....

Ooh be careful. Sounds like it would be the best thing for the buddleia though. The one I hacked down to a stump a few weeks ago is already sprouting again!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Thats good to know - I do love buddleia. I'll be careful, tho its not dangerous - it was probably well-pruned about 6 or 7 years ago last time, so the top is actually pretty skimpy. Both buddleias were also overgrowing into next door's garden, and just after I moved in, their son cut them back, bless him, so there isn't as much branch-and-foliage as you might think.
I *am* prepared to trade today, but the markets are practically stationery. Erm, I think I just missed a 9am trade - not sure yet, have to analyse it, but I think so - oops, this is the problem:o:o

Yep - after being on here since 7am, I missed the 10am trade
it would've made 8 points .... two things I did wrong:
- I didn't keep setting my watch alarm to tell me when to stop doing whatever it is I'm doing.
- I didn't take all my breaks away from the computer.

I'm a bad person :j:j:j
You know I adore Michael Shanks, who plays Daniel Jackson in Stargate SG1, right? Well, he got a bit part in a film starring Amanda Seyfried (I'm sure thats not spelt right) and the premiere was yesterday evening....

this is him at the premiere, and he's not with his wife, its another leggy brunette.... its his daughter Tatiana, who he had with the woman who played Shau're, Daniel's partner (she's 10 years or so older than him, my guess is she snaffled him, but it didn't take)... so sweet2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
