Oh, I meant to say - the wedding is on Easter Saturday - I think thats the easiest time for the Polish contingent. Its in west and north London, and anywhere else the magic bus takes us (bus trip between the wedding and the evening celebrations!).

i'm intrigued with the idea of a magic bus ... that sounds like a fun way to spend a wedding day ... when we were in Poland we saw a few weddings ... they all seemed to be enjoying themselves ...

The trip sounds nice and even better that you can do some genealogy into the bargain ;)

Thanks folks - I'm realy looking forward to the trip now, which was partly the idea in booking so far ahead. Since then, of course, I've been dreading if I'd ever be well enough, so not quite the effect I'd planned, but tho I'm sleeping really badly, I'm certainly buzzing about (until I fall over asleep :) I tried to watch Brian Cox on Sunday and fell asleep at the opening credits!).

Right, off to do Important Things, as Pooh would say.

He's very inspirational isn't he - I've heard Chris Evans banging on about him for ages, and when he's been on the breakfast show as a guest he's been very engaging, but the thing on Sunday night was the first time I'd actually watched him in action. A classic example of someone who has a real passion for what they are talking about.

Yeah to fixing it yourself! - yikes to the £170 - wish we were a bit closer, would have driven over & helped! - thinking of you too - hope all goes well with your trip this weekend - didn't realize it was *this* weekend!:)

Finally the proposed trip up to Liverpool is going to happen! :j

Yes indeedy! - and fussy OH said I could make it again as he couldn't even find a single bit of parsnip!:rotfl:Think along the lines of a carrot cake with walnuts in it (oops just realized i'd already said that last time - sorrry, mind like a seive!) - it was very scrummy for breakfast with a cup of strong coffee!

I *know* this isn't the cookery page, but can I just say.....I've never been able to get the idea of carrot cake:p at what point was someone baking a cake and wondering what to do decided 'oh I know, chuck a couple of carrots in':) so parnip seems really odd to me!

Hope the dentist etc. goes Ok.
