  • Oh dear, I'm wide awake and have been since 1am:eek:

I could do some ironing but wouldn't want to wake hubby - after all, ironing is very noisy.....isn't it?:rotfl:

My Mum and Dad are home on Wednesday (they have been on holiday) Dad has found the whole expereince very difficult, from what he says mum has got much worse:(. I have tried chasing up her appointments but no news yet. I think he may have to take her to the doctors when they return.....just turn up and sit/wait until someone sees her. I wish everything didn't have to be such a battle, things are hard enough anyway:(

I have written a list; in my head (!) of items I need to ebay...just need to get around to actually photographing and listing them now:rotfl::o

Just checked the credit card bill online, jee wizz it was a good job I was sat down.....its over £3600:eek::eek::eek:. £800 is expenses that hubby will get back from work, almost £1500 is garage bills, add to that the council tax (always pay it on the CC to get the extra 'points') petrol and general shopping, new shoes, blouse etc. Rediculous, really have to get a handle on finances again, have been very lazy lately and not really though much about budgeting. In fact being lazy is an ongoing thing with me a the moment, the gardens a mess (still haven't put everything back in its place since the frencing was done:eek:) the house is a mess, the ironing pike is actually now a mountain.......etc. But of course I would rather moan about it than get off my backside and actually do something:o

Oh, I;m such a happy bunny lately!

  • OK, its a new week, I'm going to stop feeling sorry for myself, change the things that are in my power (such as messy house, which makes me feel down).:D

I am going to start by getting of here and doing half hour ironing before going to the dentist!

LOL, is if to ruin my good intentions, the cat has just come in a thrown up on the rug:rotfl:

When i feel i am in a rut housewise, i just challenge myself to do one job to make the house better different to normal (ie not the washing up or normal jobs). Ironing - i aim for 10, and usually end up doing a pile for about an hour. All helps with my motivation.

Hope you're suitably tired for tonight hon, and well done to cat for distracting you from pesky ironing :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Ah yes I am tired, been to the dentist, took the dog for a [STRIKE]drown[/STRIKE] walk! Could have washed my hair whilst out if i'd taken my shampoo (now that would have been MSE:money:) It is tiddling down here!

Part of the ironing done, have promised myself I will do at least ten items (thanks cha:o) per day, will leave the ironing board up (to be honest the house is such a tip, it won't show!)

Got hubby to empty and refill the dishwasher whilst I was cooking:p

Did an MS in the same town as the dentist - every little helps, it more than pays for my diesel. :D

Have booked myself a free eye test on Saturday in Tesco and have managed to pick up a very straight-forward MS 1 mile away, hence paying for diesel again:money:

We have CPR and emergency training in work tomorrow; which i'm really not looking forward to, will be the first time my collegue has gone through any of this since she tried to resusitate her husband 6 months ago. Puts my little problems into perspective:o.

    Onwards and upwards.

Sorry to hear you are feeling down. I find myself more tired and with no energy if I stop exercising. I know you walk the dog but just getting 30 min of exercise twice a week might make a difference. Don't forget you have had to deal with you mum getting worse that takes up energy too. I hate cleaning and I would not give up my cleaner I think it's money well spent and stops me arguing with DH about it. However on the plus side cleaning does burn calories.

Well done on the MS I thought you were giving it a break. I am more selective on what I do now actually Keeps the motivation going.

Good luck with the CPR training hope your friend is ok about it.
