Really mad busy day today. Work, collected kids, made tea. Homework, ironing, baths and finally all in bed. Am at work again tomorrow and cant wait for a rest on friday. I need to pop to the shops and get a few bits for next week have about £20 so am hoping to come in under budget.
Have lots of housework to do so hopefully fri afternoon can crack on!
Money wise I have only about £40 to clear on the overdraft after my pay has gone in so havent done too bad. Still no progress on the ebay front but to be fair have been busy at work. DH managed to sort some overtime so we may break even this month after all which would be great. I will prob save a little and pay abit off credit card. I paid £22 interest last month so really hoping it goes down next month as god it is such a waste of money. Hard lesson to learn eh?
But at least the figure is going down which is progress. Am going to try and do a bit of overtime next month but leaving it for now as I am really tired, the rest will do me good. Half term next week so planning a few busy but cheapie days out - am hoping the weather will be nice. x

    Thanks Smartie:)
Well early update today before I start getting everyone ready and pop off to shops. With it being half term am going to stock up on drinks and some snacky things. Have booked us onto a couple of free craft sessions, then between hairdressers, dentist and other appointments, and a couple of coffee dates the week is pretty much full already. So am hoping it will be a fairly cheapie week or at least hoping. Am going to try and get the kids at some point to sort out rooms and get rid of any junk or stuff they no longer want. Unfortunately my gang are hoarders and like to keep everything.
Anyways once I have popped to shops I must do some ironing then am hoping little one will have a nap so I can do some more jobs before school pick up.
Have a productive money saving friday everyone xxx

Morning all - update as I am popping out and then off the aunties for a yummy sunday lunch. Up early today as little one decided to be up with the larks. DH then got up and said I could go back to bed but typical I couldnt sleep - so sad old me - I cracked on with the ironing and now have an empty basket - yey - well prob till tomorrw:rotfl::rotfl:.
At least it's a job done anyway. This pm me and DH are going to make a list of jobs to be done round the house and also sent out some feelers for home for the children one weekend for a good run at the jobs - may catch sis in law at dinner - shes lovely and I know she will help out. Then will catch granny in a good mood and see if I can offload 2 maybe?:D I will try not to list everything for that weekend as I think we would run out of time lol. Anyway we can;t do a SOA till payday as we dont know whether overtime will be on this month or next so a waiting game. Have managed to get our roadside cover to £26 with £20 back through quidco - the numptys at A* wanted to take £124 next month - no chance I say. DH jobs this pm is to phone and cancel this.
I have house insurance to price up for next month now - got it cheap last year so here's hoping we can do that again.
Tonight going to get some bits on ebay and get some further pics taken and see if I can make a dent in the pile of junk - I mean valuable assets this week.:D Have a restful sunday all xxx

Would have liked to do some overtime this week and feel guilty about not but cant anyway as DH is away boo hoo.
Had a nice morning got some jobs done in town, cleaned out a cupboard, washing hanging out and a few phone ordering jobs etc d

Enjoyed watching the soaps and chilling out last night and all in all had a lovely day yesterday. Today I have a few jobs to do and shortly we are popping to a friend house so they kids can play and we can have a coffee and catch up. Unfortunately the light has come on in the car again which means the flaming diesel is just about running out so have had to transfer £30 from savings and pray we can limp to payday. I have cut most essential journeys and am car sharing for activities but the diesal is really starting to impact upon my budget and seems to contiually be going up. So am going to have to relook at the budget and may have to reassign some money - hmm dont know really eek.
Phoned HSBC about mortgage and they can only arrange the fix 6 weeks i advance so praying interest rates stay where they are.
Will up date credit card total once the payment has gone and the interest has gone down also which is good. x

Well have been a busy girl today! Kids been to hairdressers. Lunch done and then the clean up started. Tucked kids away with a DVD and gutted kitchen cupboards. Chucked out of date bits out, wiped them and have bascially had a good clear out. The kitchen tiles have been wiped and it looks loads better. As soon as I can afford I am going to give it a lick of paint and keep my eyes out for a new blind.
Got a massive pile sat next to me for ebay but am waiting for DH to come home to help with the photos as the ones I took are rubbish. I think the listing is free this weekend so am going to list some tonight and then some tomorrow. The extra money will come in really handy at the moment. I also need DH to have a word with his boss as I need to estimate his earning for next year and in the current climate I have no idea what to put. When I phoned TC's they said I could update figures at xmas again if I needed to so that's good to know as I dont want to end up owing them money too.
Think we should break even money wise next month which will make a change and may manage a small overpayment on credit card. Something is better than nothing eh?
So had a very productive day. Looking forward to a more relaxing day tomorrow x

  • Wow, you have been a busy girl, pinky. I have a day off, and been to visit a friend, to help her put her stuff on ebay. She is doing well at the moment, selling lots of house bits, cos she is downsizing. Hope you do well, esp if its a free listing weekend. (wont tell frine though!)
