Yep Smartie - here's to earning a small fortune - would be lovely! I have decided if I have no overtime on Friday then I am going to make it my ebay day and get the pile in my bedroom listed. My mum has also offered me a few things which she said I could ebay.
Things as usual are really tight - good news is my credit card is down to £2431 - which is motivating. I did however get some purchases interest added - boo hoo.
I may have some overtime next week and try and do some each week for now. At the moment my main targets are repay overdraft out of my overtime £190 - earn extra to fill car. This means we would start next month breaking even. Then next month I am going to try and do 1 day each week extra. When I looked at the tax credits I realised we have earned what I estimated so wont get anything back - but never mind I will just work extra hours to get caught up. DH is asking around for any little jobs/overtime.
Little one has just sparked out on the sofa so am going to have a cuppa and out my feet up:D
Today so far I have done mums ironing and my own. Sorted the messy top drawer out, organised some paperwork, popped to the shop, changed my bed and hoovered basically all over. Am just waiting for another load of washing to finish and will get it hung out. I am also going to try and change my sig :)
    Here's hoping I get some overtime! x

Yey to overtime tomorrow! So wont be ebaying tomorrow but will get DH to do some picture taking for me so will try and do a few bits on an evening. So thats a bit more to reduce the overdraft. I need 3 more days to clear it now. Also DH has a bit more work coming in although it wont hit the wages this month but end of march pay so will have to wait until then. So will need to keep a really tight SOA next month.
Had a good day today and DH made a lovely casserole for me getting in and even managed to hang and sort washing for me - so brownie points for him!
Mum very kindly gave me a load of plastic store boxes so have washed them and will use for freezing small amounts of food to use for kids teas.

  • Wow - your ebaying is inspiring me. I have been decluttering and have started a 'to ebay' pile but haven't actually made much progress on actually getting everything on to ebay so will aim to get at least 1 thing on today.

Hi twin mum (waves!) - yep am trying to get sorted on the ebay front have loads to go on. Managed to get a couple of bits on tonight, have done 2 hours of ironing, and put all clothes away. Have shot a load thro washing machine - and hung out. All of this and........... A full days overtime - whoo hoo. So my target for clearning overdraft this month is now £150 ish. I have put my name down for another day next week - so fingers crossed then will try and do another day the following week. Am really hoping it can be done! The ebaying can help reduce the total.
Twin mum kids are 4,6,8. They are good kids but can be messy!
I am planning to off load them all for a weekend to various family members - maybe next month so me and DH can do a real thorough clean eg moving appliances to clean behind - emptying kitchen cupboards, cleaning all the carpets and rugs. At least then we can have a good go at the house without getting constantly interrupted and the littlies undoing the mess as we go.:D

  • We could do with our bi-annual garage clearout so might wait until we are forecast a reasonable weekend of weather and see if we can offload the little monkeys onto someone. What would be really novelty would be if we could manage to keep it looking reasonable rather than floor to ceiling rubbish!
You have shattered my hopes and illusions now that mine will hit 4 and magically become tidy and calm - maybe 9 will be the magic age instead.
I still haven't actually got anything onto ebay yet but once things are a little more clutter free I might set us a weekly target of say 10 items then i could do everything in a mega day or just do 1 or 2 items a day.

Ah Twinmum so sorry to shatter the illusions of the tidy home. At least you can bribe them into helping more when they are older - my lot have jobs to do although need some reminding occasionally.Having said that the older too arent as bad as little one. Once she is older I can reduce the mass amounts of her toys which should help.
Now off to find some willing people to offload the little monkeys onto for a weekend! Any takers.......................?:D:D:D

    Afternoon all:)
Well while little one was at nursery had a bit of a crazy tidying frenzy this morning. Was really tired and planning on being very naughty and rolling back to bed:D but starting cracking on and before I knew it cupboards were being emptied, binbags lining up and a to-sort pile being created.
Emptied away a load of dead flowers and cleaned all the vases - just waiting for them to dry off. Managed to give the big cupboard a sort and now you can actually get into it. DS room tidied and bed changed. 3 loads of washing done and have used the tumble drier to help me catch up on drying everything as I am trying to avoid the chinese laundry look lol.
Wiped surfaces and last bit of ironing done - and breathe..........
So just wanted a good catch up incase any overtime headed my way later in the week so at least the house is tidyish. So when I am done here need to sort out and plan tea for tonight and tomorrow night.
Hope everyone is having a productive monday xxx
