Having to dry washing indoors really does suck, we don't have anywhere to dry things outdoors so everything has to be dried in the spare room, drives me mad when I want to get it all done but can't do more than one load at once as we've only space for one airer and an ironing tidy thing (so at least I don't need to iron anything!).It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Perhaps you could see whether there would be a market at the wedding fair for your cards - invites, place cards, thank you cards etc. just to put a positive spin on things

Just a quick post as I have managed to be away for over 5 months! I now have lots of catching up to do but glad you're still here0

Welcome back hanb! You've been gone for ages. Everything ok with you?
Well, the wedding thing wasn't awful - it was at Edinburgh Castle, so my friend could look at all the rooms they have for hire, and I got to poke around the castle for free :money: Normally the entry is £14, so that was a good thing for meI can't believe how much it costs to get married generally, but if you want to get married at Edinburgh Castle it is pricey.
I managed to list 18 items for sale on Ebay today. It was very dullIf they all sell for the minimum price then I will get over £50. I'll still have to take the fees off, but it's nice money for clutter in the house, if it all sells of course!
Apart from Ebay, I've had a really quiet afternoon, just shocked it's Sunday night already!

Morning all
Three items on my Ebay list have watchers already :j I also sold some of the unwanted LEGO to my brother, which saves me Ebay fees :money: (I'm not ripping off a child, he's 28 and just loves LEGO!)
It's payday - and thank all the gods for that. I had to attack my terramundi with a butter knife just to go for lunch on Saturday :rotfl:
Accounts stand at:
PAD/Spends - £140
Entertainment - £77.25
Groceries - £329.27
This is all to last me until the end of June, and there are 31 days until our next payday :rotfl:I did manage to put over £70 into my ISA today though so that's pretty good
Rent money will be due in on the first of the month or thereabouts. We're off to York mid-month, so this will cover all of our spending including diesel. Meals are essentially sorted thanks to Tesco vouchers and Groupon. Anything leftover will be PADded into my ISA.
Best get ready for work I suppose. Bah!

You are a good girl to get the Lego, I haven't done it this time as with 2 boys with independent Lego collections, it was costing me a fortune!
Carp weather here, too - my tumble drier is my guilty pleasure but it's terribly expensive to run
Have a good week xMortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

ThanksIt has been far too long! I've just been really busy and then miserable after getting dumped!
But i've decided i need to stop being miserable and thought I should get back on here in the hope i'll stop being spendy! Being miserable is expensive.. lots of shopping, drinking, extravagant hair salon trips and a holiday means I need to behave now!!

Morning folks
Quick plea - did anyone buy The Sun yesterday? I wanted to get the voucher for free registration at Weightwatchers but we had the Weather Of The Apocalypse yesterday and I couldn't face leaving the office to battle my way to get a paper
I ended up having two friends staying over - the bridge out of Edinburgh was closed, most train services were suspended. We ended up having a lovely time with lots of food and wine; I'm only just beginning to feel human this morning!
My only spend yesterday was on a cup of tea at work, mainly because I was having a long day and caffeine was necessary. I'm going to have to purchase a cafetiere this week as I broke mine yesterday morning (BAH!) and prefer to have posh coffee in the morning before I face the day.
Still no bids on my Ebay items, but I'm hopeful...
