    Hi F_F

Sorry to hear about scraps being damaged. What a pain in the derriere. Little shyster. Hope it doesn't cost too much, but glad Mr F heard him. What a shame the woof woofs didn't get him, he would have had a sore botty if they had managed to get hold of him. ;)

You both deserved your bottle of plonk.

Hope you have a better nights sleep sweetie and well done on SB ;)

Payday tomorrow :D (Although we're getting paid early because of the bank holidays so there are 33 days to get through until the next one )

Groceries - £102.76 (To last until the end of the month, no problem there)
    Entertainment - £15.45
ISA - £1475 (Would have been £1500ish had we not had Chinese for dinner, but it's not the end of the world)
    VSP - £374.79

Between my two savings accounts I now have nearly two months worth of bills money saved. My savings are going to take a bit of a dip in the next month as I have to:

    Get the heating checked out
Pay for Mr F's birthday present (Tickets to the footie in Newcastle)
Buy paint etc to decorate our bedroom
    Buy a new computer desk

At least on the bright side I have a voucher for £8 off when I spend £30 at Homebase plus triple Nectar points! I'm going to get the desk from Tesco as they only charge £5 for delivery and the one I saw in Ikea was twice the price with a £35 charge (!!)

Better get my lazy butt ready for work, have a good day all :D

    PAYDAY :D

Although there is a Really Long Time until my next payday, things are looking ok:

    PAD/Spends - £142
    Entertainment - £65.45
    Groceries - £312.76
    ISA - £1499.04 (GAH!!)

Although I don't really need a lot of food, I'm heading to Morrisons this week to spend £40 and get 6p off per litre of fuel as we need to fill up the car to Go North. I'll probably stock up on cat litter and fill the freezer full of tasty things. I also need a new wok.

I'm up to 77 Swagbucks in the last three days which isn't bad going at all. I'm remembering to do their version of daily clicks every morning which is helping.

I've been looking to book our holiday. It turns out that getting to Florence from Scotland is either A) Impossible or B) involves flying to London then Frankfurt then Florence. It's going to be the death of my sanity I think. On the other hand, I've found a five star hotel where we could have five nights in a massive suite for £800 which is a saving of £500. Not MSE I know but.....oooooohhhhhhh!!! We're still in the planning stage :rotfl:

  • Good luck with the planning, I can't think of anything worse than airport hopping. If I win the lottery I'm going long haul, all inclusive to somewhere with a beach and a pool .

Why not take a direct Ryanair flight from Edinburgh to Pisa and then a choo choo train for the 50 mile journey from Pisa to Florence. Return tickets for two would start at £120 plus baggage which is a minimum of £15 for 15kg each way. The train goes direct from the airport every two hours at a bargaintastic £6 each way.

You should look at going all the way on the train. Although you need to make it part of the holiday as it takes a while !!! Look at a website called seat61.com for really good tips on travelling by train.
  • oh dear very sorry about the attempted car theft, poor Scraps,

I have to say the misnaming of said car - Craps made me properly laugh out loud which took some explaining.......

*goes off giggling to herself *
