A Payment A Day - Part 10!

Sorry I couldn't PAD over the weekend, had to find £80 to get new brake pads for OH's front wheels,
PAD for today is £65 to bank loan.
It's going to be a tight month especially as I have to make sure there is enough money left in the account for council tax which restarts the day before pay day.:mad:0 -

. So today's PAD is £1.36 to OH's cc made up of the 80p and left over change from yesterday.
Downside is that I've got a screw in my trye but don't know whether it can be fixed or whether £100 new tyre is needed
If it's just a screw, it's possible that it can be repaired subject to certain conditions.
Personally, I wouldn't try to do it myself but get a pro to do it.
Maybe have a look here:
http://www.tyrz.co.uk/Tyre-Repairs
http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/safety/tyre-repairs-and-sealants.html
I suppose that if it is repairable, the next question would be whether it is cost effective - depending on how worn the tyre is and cost of buying a new one.0 -
Well the good news here is that my washing machine has been resurrected. I think I'll christen it "Lazarus".
It is more expensive getting the company's engineer out but the flip side of that is you get most of the money back (in credit form) if it needs to be scrapped - so long as you spend it on one of their own machines.
It's cost me £135 but if I get another 2 - 3 years out of it for that, I will be happy.
It's always a fine line to tread when an appliance (or a vehicle) gets older.
I've had my moneys worth out of it. I've had it about 15+ years and I've spent about £230 in repairing it during that time.0 -
