  • If it's just a screw, it's possible that it can be repaired subject to certain conditions.
Personally, I wouldn't try to do it myself but get a pro to do it.

    Maybe have a look here:

    http://www.tyrz.co.uk/Tyre-Repairs

    http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/safety/tyre-repairs-and-sealants.html

I suppose that if it is repairable, the next question would be whether it is cost effective - depending on how worn the tyre is and cost of buying a new one.

The screw was too near the edge so a new tyre (again ) at a cost of £124. Any downward trend on my CC has now been wiped out :(

    Hi all :j

Popping in to report a PAD of £500 - was a payment to friend and debt to her now cleared :T:T:T:T:T - tks Saorsie!!

    Wahay!!! :j
Mary's here!! :D Green is still on 'holiday' - poor cow needs a break I think!

I don't know where I'm going wrong...one min I've got more money than I know what to do with and the next I'm broke...I've got a list of stuff to buy, I spent waaay too much on the grocery shop...why does everything have to cost so much?!

I'm still having car trouble, money trouble, 'teenage temper tantrums' from my 3year old-butter-wouldn't melt-in-my-mouth little angel  and I've spent my savings on...what? Where did they go? :(

I'm tired, I'm fed up and I'm struggling to hold down a job, a family, being pregnant, being skint and having so much to do all the time...seriously, how many outfits can 2 kids get through in a week?!

    I want beer...
I hope you feel chirpier soon, Angelic....until then, here's some dancing monkeys 2004.gif

    Hi all!

Feeling a bit down in the dumps because I've paid £426.12 on my credit card for car insurance. So all my hard work in PADding an extra £500 over this last month has been undone.

Our renewal was really high and the % for paying monthly was crazy so we've put it on the card and can pay it all off next month. DH wanted to do it this way and he is right because this is the cheapest way, but I'm just a bit disheartened. Adds a month back on to our DFD too :(

So back on the horse with a £1 PAD.
    Total Debt Sept 2010 - £24,132.38 / Current - £0.00/ 100% paid

    DFD - [STRIKE]Aug 2014[/STRIKE] 24th Aug 2012

    £10 a day // Jun - £64/£300 / Jul - £133/£310 / Aug - £281/£310

Don't feel disheartened... if you are anything like me then before your light bulb moment you wouldn't have even been able to pay for it on your CC... and it is the best way to pay for your insurance otherwise you would pay poor. Chin up :)

Thank you! You're right, before Sept last year I wouldn't have had any choice other than to pay the outrageous monthly mark up, so things are better.

I didn't enjoy revising the figures in my signature up instead of down though! One day at a time - thanks for your support!
