Hi everyone
Well what a crap few days its been for me.
Mortgage got rejected, the Lady at first Mortgage wasn't too happy about it either as when she spoke with them initially about it they said it would all be fine to get the mortgage.
Anyway the reason it was rejected was due to the Trust Deed I was in starting in Feb 2006 (Discharged 2009) although it is off my Credit File, I need to have been discharged for 6 years (I'm only just under 4 years) several other mortgage companies are exactly the same
First Mortgage have been great and are looking into other mortgages for me. The big problem with it all now is a lot of companies will not deal with 1. The Trust Deed 2. New Build Property and 3. Shared Ownership. All 3 of these things are one big pain in the butt and are a hurdle I really really really want to overcome as I am desperate for the flat!

Just spied your diary and was popping in for a read and ..... pants to the mortgage - that's a pain in the butt!
Might be worth giving these guys a ring: http://www.whichmortgageadvisers.co.uk/?gclid=CLqN_szO37MCFUfJtAodEFgAqw
I used them when I remortgaged (with dubious past credit history!) and they were fantastic - they ended up recommending someone they don't deal with directly so they really do look at the whole market & tell you which is the best deal for you (and it's a free service).
Hope you get something sorted soonGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Hi RFTA
Thanks for that. I am using First Mortgage which are the same kind of company. My mortgage advisor was not given all the correct information when applying for the mortgage. We have now submitted another application for a mortgage in principle so hopefully I will hear early next week what is happening with that.

Hi everyone
I have news!!
Mortgage application in principle has been accepted!!
A higher deposit was required but at least it is a huge step in the right direction!! The Surveyor has been in contact with the Housing Association I am getting the house from to gain access to carry out the Valuation on the property!
I am a much happier person right now!!
