  • Hello one and all!! :D
I hope you have all had a great Christmas and Santa was good to you!
I was spoiled rotten, I got my onesie and it is so so cosy! I also got a beautiful Thomas S*bo bracelet and heart charm from my nieces. Along with 2 lots of PJ's (one pair the Muppets!!!! :D) and lots clothes and other fab things and quite a few things for my wee flat as well!! :T

I went to the sales on Wednesday as I do every year, and I bought all my cards, paper and gift tags for the grand total of £11.87 :T
I went to Boots and managed to get £196 worth of stuff at half price (£98) for £0! this included smelly gift sets, baby ball and stacker, a photo frame and glass jewellery box. Used my Advantage card points to pay for it all! :j:D:j
Went to Next and got 2 purses half price at £8 (£17) and a smelly gift set £6 (£12), then onto Accessorize and bought another 3 beautiful purses £8 each (£16)
Was in Ortak yesterday and bought a pretty little travel jewellery case £4.50 (£9)
So all in all my sales shopping went very well AND
I have managed to get my non family and my cousin's Christmas presents sorted for 2013 as well as several birthday presents! :j:D:j

I bought myself one of THESE from eBay a few days ago and it arrived yesterday, not at that price I might add. I used it today as I was being mega organized and started writing Christmas cards for next year!
I should add it's brilliant an saved me loads of time in writing addresses on envelopes!

Another job for the weekend is to wrap the presents I have bought in preparation for next Christmas. I am going to be super organized for 2013! Also I am intending on using gift vouchers that I get from using my credit cards, nectar points trade ins and tesco point trade ins for family Christmas presents next year.

For those interested so far, for Christmas and birthday's for 2013 I have spent £78.51 and saved a grand total of £352.43!

Think that's all the news from here just now!
    Have a great weekend

  • Hi everyone
When I started looking at my budget for my flat I realised I was going to have to go back and start babysitting again to earn some extra money towards presents for everyone throughout the year and for Christmas.
I started again tonight and have accepted a booking for tomorrow night as well, so over the 2 nights I should earn roughly £70, not a bad start to the Gift Fund! :D
It is the 1st time I have babysat for the agency in about a year and I know I need to do it so I can buy the gifts I want to buy people.

    Hi everyone
I did this last year, these were my New Years resolutions for 2012

    1. Keep saving, put as much money into savings as I can for a decent deposit. Done and looking OK but deposit about £2K more than what I was hoping for meaning less money to spend on furniture.
    2. Stop buying junk at the shops it's a waste of money and I DO NOT need it all. Kind of done, could still do better
    3. Have my own place by July 2012. Didn't happen due to delay in builders. Move in date 1st quarter of 2013!:D
    4. Find some sort of fitness activity I enjoy and make time to go do it. Tried and failed!
    5. Get at least 7lb under my goal weight (I have struggled since getting to goal at staying there and think by doing this I will feel more comfortable in myself) Failed miserably will try again in 2013

I also had my 12 goals for 2012

    1. Make it to a 5 figure sum before I buy a place of my own. Done
    2. Buy a place of my own. In the process of doing this
3 Over pay the mortgage from the start! :D
    Moving this into 2013
    4. Start a MFW diary to track my progress.

    Moving this into 2013
    5. Stop wasting money on snacks and unnecessary "stuff" Still trying!
    6. Make a budget when I move and stick to it each month. Done just need to move in!
    7. Make time for me at least 1 day a week. Sunday will be me day! :D
    8. Once I move do a weekly meal plan and stick to it. Will move to 2013
    9. Bulk cook once a week.Will move to 2013
    10. Save money in my sealed pot and £2 piggy and not touch any of it until at least 2013. Done pretty well with this
    11. Learn to sometimes say NO  Still working on this
    12. Keep my house tidy (When I get it) and not a tip like my bedroom at the minute!
That's all folks. Moving to 2013

    Hi everyone,
I have decided for 2013 I am not going to have any New Years Resolutions only Goals!

    My 13 Goals for 2013
    1. Over pay the mortgage from the start! This may only be a few £ but at least it will be coming off and bringing my mortgage down.
    2. Start a MFW diary to track my progress. This is written and ready to go once I move into my flat! :D
    3.
Continue to save and not dip into my savings pots, unless spending for that reason ie. car fund: road tax, MOT etc.
    4. Make sure I stick to my budget and stay in control of my money each month or I WILL end up back in debt
    5. Make time for me at least 1 day a week. A Sunday is looking like a good day!
    6. Do a weekly meal plan and stick to it.
    7. Bulk cook once a week.
    8. Continue to save money in my sealed pot and £2 piggy.
    9. Keep my house tidy (When I move in) and not a tip like my bedroom at the minute!
    10. Babysit as much as possible to earn money for the gift fund.
    11. Use Vouchers for Amazon, Clubcard points, Nectar points and Advantage card points to help towards gifts.
    12. Keep Credit Card purchases to a minimum
    13.
Lose weight, I was last week 9lb over goal, my aim is to get back to goal and stay there in 2013, something I have struggles with in 2012.
