Main issue is not knowing which part of the UK DH is likely to get a job. No point moving just to move again. Boo. As for him coming home to write up. That is still the plan, but still won't know where we will live. It's a pain in the backside.

Some happy news...my bessie has finally had her sproglet. Is so pleased for her. Sooo what do I get as a pressie? This is my first very close friend to have one. Given what they went through with the miscarriage etc, he's a very special perfect little boy.

Great news, no idea about a present, everything is useful when you have a newborn! They grow so fast out of baby clothes though!

Sorry about DH's grandma and that you're feeling so blue about jobs and waiting for babies and all that business.

As for the baby present, what about a keepsake rather than something useful. Perhaps a beautiful blanket or a pair of bootees or an engraved picture frame with his name and dob in?

One of my nicest pressies was a wooden height chart, and we have regularly measured ours against it and i love looking at how small they were.

Is this to girly for a boy? http://www.babyrepublic.co.uk/wooden-giraffe-height-chart-p/gt1.htm

It's his mummys fav animal and she missed out on the zoo trip this year because of being on maternity. There are other options height chart wise but this just jumped out at me.

Well she lives about 40 mins from me so I can't really just pop by, however, I am popping round after work on Wednesday. She only got let out of hospital yesterday because the wee one wasn't feeding well - lots of mucus on his chest apparently. Today however, he's doing very well apparently.

So food probably isn't the best idea - I wouldn't have anywhere to store it during the day at work. If she lived nearer I'd pop round with stuff all the time though. Besides, she lives very near her and her partners family and I think they are force feeding them all anyway. Ha ha.
