The !!! head who called said that at least they know my intentions now and that he things they are going to struggle to hold on to me cos I'm going far!!!
What a load of cack!
Oh yes, you'll be going far all right - as far away as possible :mad:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Well, what did I say about golf?? Time you took up a new sport? Seriously, you have thrown your hat in the ring, which is good, and you have had some of SMT true colours revealed to you. Does this make you review staying in THIS school for promotion?
Did you perform well at interview, do you think? While its still fresh in your mind, make a note of the questions for next time.
BTW we do peer mentoring.
Sorry to hear about your DH's grandmother. Sad times.
If it was me, I would get trolleyed tomorrow night and then not give it another thought. xxx
eta Having done 3 successful years in a HoD post, I then applied for three HoD and one HoY and didn't get any of them, so you never know. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

I had to re-interview for my asst head of dept job while on mat leave, and didn't get it, but it backfired on them as the guy still in that role is completely bone idle, and they had to pay me my protected management point as well as him. I could have had them in for sexual discrimination too as one of my interview questions was very clearly about how i would manage my time returning back to work after having a baby. Not worded that explicitly unfortunately.
It happens all over the place doesn't it.0 -
Cheeky gits, Michelle. You are well out of that school. Why did you have to re-interview, were you acting up?Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Bumped into head today and he apologised for not giving me the job. Went on to say he was very VERY impressed with me and whilst interviewing me he had a few lightbulb moments. He said he didn't want to make me any false promises but wanted to let me know that he is working on something and there is definite potential for the near future and that I wasn't to worry.
Interesting. I have a feeling its the peer mentoring stuff....if that's right I'd much rather work on that than be a PDL anyway - so things may yet work out.
DH's grandma died this morning though so I've got better things to think about at the minute. Thanks for the thoughts though guys.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Ah hon, so sorry to hear that. Are you seeing DH this weekend? Can't be nice to hear that when you are apart. Who knows what the future brings hon. I hope it is something really good for you as you work hard enough for it.
(grateful - it was when they restructured the whole school and it became TLR's. I opted out at first, and then decided to interview. I feel i got the best laugh though, as the guy doing it still is useless, and they all know it.)

Dh did a dash back last night and arrived in time to say his goodbyes with an hour to spare. So he's going to stay home until after the weekend. Depends when the funeral is as to when he leaves I guess.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
